I managed some garden tidying before DS and the GKs arrived then a bit more after they left. I just need to keep chipping away at it bit by bit. I’ve almost filled the garden waste bin anyway. I need to adopt the same approach with packing the suitcases I think. No idea what on earth I’ve done with the sun cream. There was a fair bit left over from the September visit to Greece and I won’t have thrown it away. I usually keep all the holiday toiletries in a box but it’s not in there. How annoying. The cats and dog have been on a food frenzy tonight. I think the smell of Mr SA’s burger set them off. Probably not my beetroot burger they were after 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Absolutely shattered. Have been gardening for hours! On the plus side have achieved a lot. This morning joined the WW mindfulness session then took the dog on the park. After that emptied everything out of Mr SA’s suitcase and identified suitable attire for Lanzarote. So his case is sorted ✔️ I know what I’m taking so will pack mine next weekend.
Still haven’t found the sun cream 😞
Then made a start on the garden. Weeded two areas of it. Still a lot to go but this is the downside of having a large very fertile garden. Transplanted all the crazy mangetout, sugar snap peas and butternut squash into larger containers and moved them to the greenhouse. There were so many, took ages. Oh my days!
Made Mr SA help by filling containers with a mixture of old and fresh compost. We have now used up all three bags of the compost we bought from BnM 😲
Just stopped to read a few pages of my book then I must get the washing in, do the ironing, make a batch of curried parsnip and carrot soup for work lunches (WW recipe) and start prepping my dinner for tonight which is spiced lentil and root vegetable casserole (Waitr0se weekend paper recipe from earlier this year).
Then it’s time for a soak in bath with a face pack. Also need to remove the gel varnish from my nails ready for Saturday’s holiday nails. I had the builder gel colour for the first time last time I had them done and they’ve lasted 4 weeks (usually 2-3 weeks with normal gel colour). Really pleased as my nails have grown so much in those 4 weeks.WW boot camp workshop later then feet up with a glass of vino tinto before an early night ready for work tomorrow. 6 more working days to go and counting.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -

I’ve only just more or less sat down and I plan to go to bed at 9pm. Anyway I’ve done everything I wanted to do and Mr SA’s case is packed bar his toiletries. I’ve managed to convince him he doesn’t need to take his hair clippers for a week’s holiday! He has very little hair and they are quite weighty, his hair isn’t going to grow that much in a week 😐 Don’t ask about the lip balm, why does he think he’ll need 4 in his hand luggage for a less than 4 hour flight or even for a week’s holiday come to that.
Oh the joys of living with someone with a brain injury 😞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -

I'm intrigued as to where this sunscreen will turn up! Did you donate it to someone who would be using it before you would? Did you cunningly pack a spare summer toiletries bag with it and stick that in a wardrobe? Has DD been using it as moisturiser? Is it on top of a bathroom cupboard where your gaze never wanders and you'll kick yourself? 😁
Ooh I do like a mystery!

Well I hope it isn't like my missing passport which should have been in the wallet file marked holidays, along with the Euros I removed to give my sister. But it wasn't. I finally found it in the wallet file marked HMRC & state pension. No idea but I suspect I may have been trying to get online with them & needed my NI NO & put the passport, needed for identity, back with it. These things are always in a logical place if only we know the logic we used at the time.

My garden wore me out too, and I only did maybe an hour and a half. You've earned your early night tonight.
I threw out about seven old sun creams here earlier in the year... no idea what vintage some of them were. I kept a couple of newer ones. I had some from the kitchen window sill and the bathroom cupboard, and others were probably in a bag or with the holiday things to pack, or being used as moisturiser. I was genuinely surprised at how many I had. Could yours be in Mr SA's bathroom stuff?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
