Ah it's so difficult isn't it, well done on being firm since it's unsuitable. How much is he able to recollect about your household finances? Could you operate a one in one out policy on pester items and have him choose something of his that you can sell, as money doesn't grow on trees? (And if item doesn't sell or you don't have time it could go to the charity shop). It's very unfair for you to keep having to put up with this without even a few quid going into a pot as small recompense! But I also understand you wouldn't want to take his small pleasures away, much as they may drive you up the wall! Maybe a firm word about not being made of money and he can have X if he chooses Y to sell would at least keep him occupied looking at the things he owns for a couple of hours every time this arises 😁3

He has been warned things will be very different once I’ve retired as there just won’t be the income to fritter on frivolous things @PennysIntoPounds. I don’t think he fully understands this though. He has absolutely no idea about household finances. To be honest he was pretty clueless before the brain injury. He doesn’t look after his stuff so nothing really saleable, a lot of his cast offs aren’t even good enough for the CS and end up in recycling.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Does getting all new for the holiday also apply to husbands? A nice shiny new one for when you go away would be lovely 🤭Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

So have ended up today on just over 27,000 steps, the majority of these in one go. It was approximately 10k steps each way to the market town. My feet are feeling it and one of my legs, not sure why just the one leg 😆 I’ll sleep well tonight that’s for sure! I put fresh bedding on the bed earlier and I’m so looking forward to getting in it 🛌I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
