I got a L!dl rosemary: beautiful plant. I wanted one of the standard ones but they charge another £4 for those! However, I'm very happy with what I have. I reckoned I could try to grow a side shoot into a standard rosemary as there are plenty to spare and why pay the extra if I can have the fun of growing my own?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. Morning all, what a wet miserable morning it is here.
WFH today thanks goodness or I'd be soaked. Enjoyed my pre logging on hour of coffee, reading and Spanish lessons.
It will be a NSD today, number 7 possibly or 8, lost count again!
Today's exercise will be taking the dog on the park if it ever stops raining, a lunchtime stretch & tone session and body conditioning tonight.
Tonight's dinner is teriyaki tofu stir fry.
Household tasks are giving the kitchen a good clean and sorting the freezers out (yet again!). I really must stop making 4 portions when I try new recipes especially when I need to defrost the little freezer that lives in the outside covered area, it's never going to happen at this rate!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
Morning SA. The herbs look so healthy. Do you keep them inside or move them out when it’s warm? I have form for killing them (or them getting eaten by the cats) no matter what I do, so would love some tips so I can try again.Have a lovely day ✨Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I will harden mine off over a couple of weeks or so - out in the daytime and indoors at night - then put it out full time once the frosts are over (not that we've had many this year). Mine's a rosemary so it should be hardy once it's got used to the out doors, and they can in theory last 30 years. Sadly my previous ones didn't!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. Another one here who will be seeing if those herbs are in stock in our local store when I go in tomorrow. Ideally I'd like a sage, but I'd probably have one of the rosemary plants at that price as mine is looking a bit poorly at the moment. In fairness it's probably due a feed and some new compost in the top of the pot.
It's been raining down here all morning too SA - just spitting so far, but I gather we're due a deluge from about 1pm!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
