The banana bread is lovely, even Mr SA likes it. I would use less sugar next time though. It’s not overly sweet but it would be fine with less. I cooked it in my mini oven/air fryer on the cake setting at 140 for 35 minutes. I opened a bag of mixed nuts and scrunched up a few walnuts into the mix.

Nails and eyebrows done. Nails are a subtle dark pink which is a change from my usual glitter/bright colours. Nice to have visible eyebrows again without having to pencil them in. I treated myself out of last month’s survey money aside for such purposes. The young cat was waiting at the patio doors with a dead bird in her mouth 😫 This is when I’m glad we didn’t have a cat flap put in as it would’ve been in the house. Little so and so😞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

It never occurred to me to make my own burgers, new learning curve coming up. It has always been a sort of treat/lazy meal thing.

Sadly that’s the weekend almost done 😭
I’ve had a fairly productive day. Took the dog on the park this morning and litter picked at the same time. Then came home and made a batch of chilli soup for work lunches.I had leftover pizza for lunch with some salad. While Mr SA had his post lunch siesta I gave the living room a thorough clean including wiping down all the woodwork.
Once he’d emerged from his slumber we took 3 big bags to the charity shop and I signed up to their Gift Aid. Noticed they’d got lots of books but resisted. This is the shop that does 10 books for £1. It’s the charity the Village People sing about 🤣 We took the dog with us so she got another walk although she was playing up and really wanted to get on the scooter 😞 She’s a little devil for only wanting to chase her ball on the park and not wanting to go anywhere else.Have done my meal plan for the coming week and have incorporated a couple of new recipes to try. Tonight’s dinner was using a Simply C00k pack I picked up from Mr T last week as it was half price - spicy prawn pasta. It was nice enough but wouldn’t bother again. There’s a portion left for tomorrow. Not a NSD as I bought some tagliatelle and daffodils from the small Mr T but spent under £2.The heating has hardly been on today as it’s been quite mild and brilliant to see it was still light after 5.30pm. The daffodils are out in the garden too. Spring is almost here, happy days 🥳I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
That's Monday done. Worked in the office until just after lunchtime then finished up at home.
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home, picked up my free pizza slice and an unplanned spend of £5.98 on two very large established rosemary and thyme plants in terracotta pots. £2.99 each which I thought was a bargain! We used to have a large rosemary bush in the garden but it died off a couple of years ago. Also noticed they had beetroot burgers so grabbed them to put in the freezer. Spent enough now for the free sourdough loaf, thought I was going to make it this month 😁
I was at a work event this morning and had two missed calls from Mr SA. Once the event was over I called him back and he was almost incoherent. I got the general drift he'd had a terrible shock on the park but was struggling to get out of him what had happened. Anyway the upshot was his bum bag had torn and his phone and wallet dropped out - he didn't lose them they just fell on his scooter. There was no need for him to be in such a panic! This all follows on conveniently from yesterday when he said he wanted a new bum bag and I thought oh no here we go with the bum bag pester. I got home from work to find a pile of assorted man bags on the floor in the hall, he'd thrown them all out in a tantrum and declared all of them unsuitable for his purposes 😲 He had been surfing the internet on his phone and showed me exactly what he wants. I gave in and ordered him one from Am@zon the cost of which is coming out of the pester pot he doesn't know exists.
Moving on...
Checked finances and reconciled pots. Week 3 of the 4 budget period starts today.
Exercise has been walking to/from work and I'm going to give the hooping class another go at 6pm now the wifi has been sorted.
Tonight's dinner is leftover spicy prawn pasta from yesterday with a side salad.
I need to finalise the Mr M delivery for tomorrow.
Housework is vacuuming upstairs, cleaning the bedroom and ironing.

I take it you will be asking Mr SA if all the other bags can go to the charity shop now then, as none of them are any good for him? I do think it's a great idea to have a pester pot ready for the completely unnecessary spends - it certainly beats trying to find another budget to meet those costs from doesn't it!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
