Lol, I think when I'm in my 80s, I will shop whenever I damn well like......although I will have to juggle it with all the time I shall doubtless be busy waving my umbrella on demos outside the Town Hall!

I have found in recent (not employed) weeks that Friday is as bad as Saturday, and 9am is far better than 11am whatever day it is.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I find the earlier the better shopping wise. Unfortunately today thanks to Mr SA taking his time to get his act together and the dog walking extra slowly we arrived at Mr T at 11am which is obviously peak shopping time 😐 I have several retired friends in their 70s who, on retirement, looked forward to never having to shop on Saturdays again. I have just 3 years until I can retire so if you read on here that I’ve been to the big Mr T on a Saturday after that date you have permission to slap my wrist 🤣
On a more sober note I heard tonight that my cousin has just lost her husband unexpectedly. She’s had a dreadful time over the past 3 years, she’s lost her daughter, her brother, two dogs at a young age and now her husband 🙁 She’s been with him since she was 16. She’s lovely and doesn’t deserve all this.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -

I'm still paying the same amount as I was when DD lived here simply because I had to wait for three months then give them a reading before they would re bill me. I didn't bother giving them the reading and kept the payment the same as I reasoned I would hopefully build up some credit. I was hoping mine would go down but with the increases I will be happy if it stays the same. I won't be happy if it goes up
Please give them a reading now as if you don't make savings then within 2 years they are supposed to allow you to go back to non metered. With only you in residence you SHOULD have made significant savings. If not you should be figuring out why.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1202 -
