I had no issue getting my free drink from Greggs the other week but that was the first time I'd tried - I literally got the code up on screen outside the shop and went straight in and used it. It will be a shame if people are being put off using it - I'm sure that Gr3ggs are claiming back the costs after al, so it seems daft for them to put folk off - sometimes I might well buy something else while I'm there, and if I was with MrEH we'd almost certainly buy a second drink to have alongside it.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

You reminded me I'd not checked if L!dl had sent me any discounts, and lo and behold - muffins! I like muffins (sweet tooth) but I'd feel less guilty about a free piece of fruit, which probably costs less. It won't necessarily stop me taking advantage of the offer of course, but I generally go in the evening and get the evening bakery discount anyway. Feeling very slightly virtuous for not going on the way back from work tonight!
Do you mind me asking which Oct0pus app it is please? There seem to be several. DH usually deals with them and isn't one for adding apps so it might be up to me to chase up free coffees!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I’ve just rechecked my 🐙app and the Ts and Cs say regular hot drink. Last week Gr£ggs gave me a large hot drink so I asked for a large one this morning. So maybe this is why the till said no 🤔 I’ll try again next Monday.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Just delved deeper and it says the code isn’t compatible with large hot drinks. So I’m blaming it on Gr£ggs last week who told me I could have a large drink and therefore led me astray 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
