Just a quick one as I’m absolutely shattered tonight. I organised a large event at work and have been on the go all day. I talked so much my lipstick wore off 😆 By the time I’d got home I don’t think I could’ve walked another step. Got straight in the bath for a relaxing soak. It will definitely be an early night tonight. The event went well - I’m pleased as I’ve been organising it since last year.So glad I’m WFH tomorrow.I’m gutted because WW are winding up their online shop where I buy my goodies from. How will I survive without their Belgian praline bars 😢I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

I’ve just found out B00ts does the praline bars. They are very tiny but delicious 😋@SusieT they’re not big enough to attract interest from Mr SA, they wouldn’t even hit the sides 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

I slept like a log last night, fell asleep the minute my head hit the pillow just before 10pm and woke up at 6.30am, good job I'm WFH as I usually leave the house at that time.
This morning I was just walking down the garden and thinking I must do something about 2 very tall trees that have got out of hand before they start sprouting leaves. Can you believe this lunchtime a tree surgeon knocked on the door and said he was working at a neighbours and noticed them. Anyway he quoted me £500 to completely remove them and take them away. I thought that didn't sound too bad so he's actually cutting them down as I type. I usually shop around for quotes but knew I'd end up dithering about getting them so thought just go for it. It will make the garden a lot lighter at the bottom as they block out a lot of light. I hate to chop trees down but it needed doing desperately.
So that's £500 I wasn't planning to spend today but will shuffle a few pots around as it was on my to do list for this year.
Took the dog on the park this morning and she had a great time chasing after her ball. This lunchtime I did a live weights class and I'll do another workout after work or go for a walk to get my steps up to 15,000.

Well that was spooky! It will be lovely to have lots more light when they are gone. You could always plant a couple of small height trees to even it out. Small fruit trees would be good as they’d pay for their keep 😁Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

We had to have some trees shortened and the tree surgeon made a lot of the wood into logs which, now they've dried for a year or two, go on our log burner. The bits that he had to shred were able to mulch a back lane which saved his disposal costs. Just saying in case you have friends with log burners!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. Yes he said the logs would be great for a log burner. Unfortunately we don't know anyone who has one.Cherryfudge said:We had to have some trees shortened and the tree surgeon made a lot of the wood into logs which, now they've dried for a year or two, go on our log burner.
