Delurking with my house buying story!

I was moving 60 miles back home and knew exactly which estate I wanted to live on but houses were going so quickly 😣 Spotted one go up for sale at 4.30 on Monday & booked to see it at 2pm Tuesday. By the time I got there it had been sold for full asking price & the vendor wasn’t interested in offers over 🤷‍♀️

the estate agent said they were taking on a house further down the road the next day. I couldn’t get there but my sister viewed within half an hour of it going on the market. Within an hour she had been on the phone & described it to me (it was a completely different layout to any we had viewed previously) and I had put in an offer which was accepted. I viewed it the following weekend 😂

  • Well done on getting trees done. We paid around £250 to get one removed, so £500 for two doesn't sound too bad. Took me about three months to get quotes and book it in though, sometimes paying a small premium to get it just done is worth it.

Each time we have moved I have decided we will do it, and then we have normally sorted a new house within a week 😆 this time we had an estate agent out to value ours as soon as they were allowed to after the first lockdown, as we had gone for a mortgage  review the week before lockdown, and he said they had one that was going on rightmove at close of business, but we could see it that eve at 6pm. We viewed it, offered, got ours up with the same EA and had a buyer in a week. (It took 6 months to move due to posing that buyer, but it worked out)

She’s been told she will probably have to manage her condition and the pain as it’s a lifelong thing. They don’t know what triggered it but she thinks it might’ve been when she banged her head a while ago. Apparently it’s a condition they don’t know much about.

I can understand your DiL being wiped out.  I had an MRI a few weeks ago & the noise!!! even with ear plugs & headphones provided was enough to drain me for a while, that on top of having to keep completely still, especially if you are in pain.  I must admit I never thought that just lying there whilst a machine went backwards and forwards over me would be so exhausting.  I couldn't even be bothered replacing my bra (they have metal in even if only the hooks) or even my dental plate which has a little bit of metal so needs removing.  So grateful for a face mask & a winter coat too!

Not that good it’s only been 2lbs overall. Having said that I haven’t exactly been 100% on plan so can’t complain.
