Just watch out mr SA doesn’t just leave those logs in the garden and you trip over them. Don’t want another injury.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.005

Not pre-empting Mr SA's log usage at all but Mr JJ has made several bug hotels with twigs and offcuts of branches in our garden - he got the idea from one of the BBC insert season-watch programmes. They looked a bit peculiar to me at first but now the plants have grown around them I don't even notice them - haven't particularly noticed any increase in bugs either but I suppose it's worth a tryLD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

We escaped having to have a big tree chopped down. We moved house instead 🤣🤣🤣5

We actually moved house on an impulse. For sale board went up on one of the 3 nearby houses of the type we originally wanted but were all sold out. I was pregnant and nesting to an extreme degree I think as I really really wanted that house even though there was no real need to move and it was literally about 10 houses away. We were SO happy there though and it was in the days when it only cost £10k to move up a bit.6

That’s yet another working week done. I’ve been in the office all day today, well until 3pm anyway.I bagged a desk, had a coffee then went to B&M when it first opened for a stock up of cleaning products. Noticed packs of 8 Knorr veg stock pots were reduced from £2.20 to 10p a pack so picked up 2. At the till I asked him to double check as I thought the offer was too good to be true. They scanned at £2.20 but he let me have them for 10p. Someone had put the wrong tag on the shelf.Exercise wise have clocked up almost 27,000 steps and 84 flights of stairs.Tonight’s dinner was a portion of veg lasagne from the freezer with salad.
Cashed out £6.13 from PA. Will hit over £100 in the pot this weekend as have over £10 to cash out on QM. I’m pleased with that as I only started doing surveys end of November time 🙂
Received water rates bill and it’s gone up by £5 a month. Need to renew annual travel insurance tomorrow as it runs out today, surprisingly, despite declaring all of Mr SA’s many issues, it’s less than £60 a year for the two of us.On the hasty house buying front, we sold our old house before we’d even started looking around for anything else and had to find something quicklyas we had a first time buyer chomping at the bit to complete. We spotted a for sale sign at our current house, Mr SA was too busy at work to view it inside so I went on my own and made an offer there and then as it was exactly what we were looking for. The estate agents were concerned as he hadn’t viewed it (very sexist but this was the 1990s) and wouldn’t accept the offer without his say so. The garden had 6 sheds as the previous owners were market gardeners and kept goats. It was a repossession and had been empty for 18 months so the rest of the garden was extremely overgrown. Mr SA’s parents thought we’d made a big mistake - 32 years later we’re still here 🙂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
I've plenty of house tales but the most ridiculous has to be when I first invited my wife back to my house after she'd already told her dad where I lived and he'd said something about must be a bit posh or something. She's expecting something nice and instead stepped back into the !!!!!! dark ages - I was living in a major project in a poor state of repair without any central heating just the original open fires. Don't know why she didn't run a !!!!!! mile then but somehow believed me when I told her I was gong to make it big in business. This was 2009, those years weren't kind to my industry, I was just about getting by but didn't want to admit I was in fairly significant debt and had a very precarious situation in business. Her opinion of my property did give me a push to secure a second charge loan to get it finished.
@Sun_Addict I'd want both husband and wife to see a house before I advised the vendor any offer was accepted in the vast majority of cases - nothing to do with sexism either.
@RelievedSheff you'd hate it around here then, it's TPO world lol.
