It’s looking so much brighter already. Another neighbour has just asked him to do a tree in his garden so he’s doing well for work today. I bet he’s glad he knocked on our door. To be honest I don’t usually go for firms that knock on your door but it just seemed a good opportunity to get it done.

Logs aren't cheap, so if he's not taken them away yet, you could put them on marketplace for a donation?

He had a really productive day as he had 3 other passers by approach him for a quote as well as the neighbour. He does other gardening jobs so is going to drop me a leaflet off. The plan is to concentrate on the outside of the house this year.

Another good reason to get rid of the trees is wood pigeons used to sit in them and 💩 everywhere

Mr SA has salvaged a few logs he has a plan for 🙄

It’s been a very unusual week, glad it’s Friday tomorrow.

I cant wait to hear what Mr SA has planned for the logs. I suspect it will involve a mess for you to clean up somewhere along the line or is that too pessimistic?
  • Sometimes there is value in the 'right now' quote.  I paid a lot for a nice chap to clear and remove a mountain of brambles etc which we 'could have removed ourselves for less' (using only a small aubergine...) but he  and his team did it a few days later, quietly, efficiently, and without hassle which was worth the premium.

It will be a bizarre structure somewhere in the garden that I’ll have to dismantle 😬
