£2 savers club for 2023

Having an early end of year count-up, and I've £86 in plain & another £24 in pretties, which given how rarely I've been using cash speaks volumes for the kindness of my local supermarket staff even if/though they aren't supposed to change notes. I can't blame it on the launderette this year...
Poor pig, still missing his bung - I think I'll gaffer something into place as the cummerbund looked cute but made him tricky to handle. Onwards to the new year! (and if it suddenly starts raining £2 coins, I'll be back with an awed update & a map reference.)
Huge thanks to claremylove for all her hard work!0 -
Well, nearly the end of another year! Where did it go? Achieved so much during 2023 and I hope that 2024 is going to be as good. I hope it's been a good year for everyone.
Hope you all had a lovely Christmas, especially if you've also managed to get some time off from work. I've got 2 weeks off now, as had saved most of my holiday to get mum moved but didn't need it in the end, so using it up now. Mum is absolutely loving her new flat. Most things now have a place and all the boxes are emptied and contents dealt with. The carpets have been cleaned, the decorator has been in to give the walls a fresh lick of paint. New storage heaters are being installed first week of January and the replacement blinds are being fitted the week after.
I will be opening up the new challenge for 2024 shortly so if you want to join again, then make a comment on the thread and I will add you.
I had an excellent last couple of evenings at bingo. Not only did I get some nice winnings, but the £2 coins were in abundancewhich has topped my total up nicely. Still got a few days left to go before I declare but those that I have banked have gone into my dentist fund to help pay for those costs. Alas, no bingo now until the New Year but that's fine. Hubby will just have to put up with me for an extra couple of evenings
.
Right, had better get the new thread up and running. Don't forget to pop back here in the New Year with any totals you want to share with the group.
I can't wait to see how much we can all save in 2024.

Happy New Year Everyone!
I hope you all had a great Christmas and 2024 is kind to us all.
My December total was £56, bringing in my year total to £600 exactly!
I have banked and spent some of this along the way but £200 was spent on Christmas gifts for the nieces and nephews so came in very handy at that time of year.
I have one £2 coin to begin 2024 so I hope to join you all once again in saving these little beauties!

Oh very well done Nellie75. That's a lovely amount. It's so lovely to have saved the money towards the Christmas spend, knowing that we don't have to get into debt for the big day. Much more enjoyable.
