May brought me £36 worth of coins. My son swapped me £10 - he sells eggs fom his chickens so swaps with me when he has a few.
All plain except for a First World War and Charles Dickens picture coins.

Hope you are all enjoying the sunny weather!

And today I had to buy a box of matches, but got two plain coins in my change. If persistence will wear them down, I'll do it...
I agree DigForVictory.  And the good thing is, if you use the shop regularly, they will get to know that you save £2 coins  :)

    Well done Nellie75.

I love the fact that your son sells eggs from his chickens.  I don't know of anyone around us who has chickens.  Rather bizarrely, there is a covenant on our bungalow (and probably all the others) which says we can't have chickens, or breed dogs, or run a car mechanic business!

Well done OldWoman_3.  That's a good total for May.  I'm sure that June will be just as good.

Checking my receipt I found I was awarded an Over 60s 10% discount. That wasn’t quite how I planned to get £2 for the pig, but hey! Son rolling eyes as I’ve been giggling about this for Hours now…

I dropped my pig & have misplaced his bung, so he’s wearing a natty cumberbund… puzzling that I think I found every £2 but not the bung!
  • Aww poor piggy @DigForVictory, hope he wasn't too injured you find his bung soon😅
I've missed potting a few coins I think as I've being AWOL but have 2 to add now so £16.00 total. Not much but all helps!

Piggy will be fattened by the lovely lady at Asda who gave me the most glorious conspiratorial grin & 5 plain coins. (It’s the start of the month….)
