£2 savers club for 2024

Welcome everyone to the £2 savers club for 2024.  As always, the aim is to collect every £2 coin you can lay your hands on!


It is entirely up to you whether you want to:
A) Save for a particular reason e.g. to pay the car insurance, to pay for a family holiday or to buy birthday presents throughout the year,
B)Save until you have a specific amount e.g. £100, £200 or even a nice full pot!
C) Save for any other reason you can think of...

Above all else remember this is a fun thread, but the aim of this website is to SAVE, so any help you can give to others is always very welcome.

Anyone who wishes to join is always very welcome, please just start posting and I will issue you with a number.  Also, if anyone wants to add anything to the list such as a target etc. then let me know and I will add it. However there is no pressure to do this as many people just wish to be able to save as and when they can.  I usually just save as many as I can and update my signature to keep track of what I've put in my pot  

So that’s it. Start saving, comment regularly e.g. let us know what type of coin you have obtained and hopefully it won't be too long before those pots are feeling heavy.

Let me start my New Year’s resolutions with all the comfort & support I could hope for - and I’ll aim at £100, ideally a quarter of that in pretties. Which do nothing for the total but are delightful for morale….

Welcome DigForVictory.  Lovely to have you along for another year of saving £2 coins.  It's surprising how they mount up over the year.  I'm sure you will achieve your aim of saving £100 

I love New Year's resolutions.  They focus the mind and help us to achieve the things we didn't think we could.  I've got a couple this year to keep me busy.

Hi Claremylove, thanks for running last years thread, and for setting up this year's. I'd love to join in again please.
Not sure on a total as I'm doing a few challenges again this year, so I will just see how I get on, and it will probably go towards the car tyres again!

Good morning Milki.  Welcome back - you are #3 this year .  Totally understand doing other challenges.  I'm doing £1 a day and 1p a day but it keeps me focused and opening the tins in December is the best feeling knowing that there is cash to pay for, not only the big day, but all those other things we need to save up for!

Welcome back Nellie75.  You are #4 this year . Wishing you luck in finding those lovely gold £2 coins.

I was at bingo on Tuesday, first after the Christmas break.  Normally, there are lots of £2 coins for me to swap - but this week there was zero coins  so I'm still to get off the mark.  Maybe Sunday???
