Glad you got sorted but would suggest always having a back up number for verification calls, make sure it is live on the account a day or so before beginning porting. Just out of interest do you know when your old sim went offline?

Cracked it at last.  I re-sent to infoukrwg1 instead of infoukrwg0 and it has come back with 99 minutes, 99 texts and 604MB which is what I would expect.  However it refers to “your RWG UK Teaser bundle” - I thought the Teaser bundle was about £2 not the £15 I paid.

Anyway thanks for all the further thoughts.  It is in an old iPhone 5S which is my third phone so wasn’t a big deal really, just a way of hanging onto a nice number without paying for a contract every month.

That’s great, very many thanks for all your help and I hope not to bother you again!
Just thinking ahead if that represents a month's usage it is important to remember the t&Cs that you need to call or text once every 60 days to keep your sim active. I Don't think using data counts.

Yes I have set calendar reminders to make a call every couple of weeks.  Thanks for the info though.
Used to be Bogof_Babe.  It did need updating!

Not exactly because I've not had the old Asda Mobile SIM in the phone since getting the new RWG SIM. However, a couple of days after initiating the porting process I tried to access my old Asda Mobile account and it was marked as 'Suspended'.

From memory I think I requested my port on the wednesday, heard nothing about it unless I missed it, then Friday morning my asda service went down just after I left my nine year old at a summer holiday club with my sim as contact number! I dashed home and swapped sim and the port had already completed in about ten minutes.

Where did you find the 60 day figure? As far as I can see the T&Cs here:

    https://www.rwgmobile.wales/mobile-sim-card-t-c/

    says:

    8. You must make an outbound call or text in any 90-day period for your SIM to remain active. If you don't do this, the SIM will enter a restricted state which means you will only be able to receive inbound calls and texts. If this happens you can contact our customer service team to reactivate the SIM. If you do not make at least one chargeable call or send one chargeable SMS/MMS every six months (in either case that results in a charge against your Account or a deduction from the credit or bundle allowance recorded against your Account), then we may terminate this Agreement by giving you 30 days’ notice in writing that your Account will be closed and your SIM Card deactivated. If we send you such a notice, we will close your Account and deactivate your SIM Card at the end of the 30-day period. This will mean that you can no longer use the Services and you will not be able to make or receive calls (though you will still be able to dial 999) or send or receive text messages. If we close your Account under this paragraph 7 h), you will not be entitled to a refund of any unused credit or Allowances.

Before joining RWG a few weeks ago I thought what a great deal this was and was wondering how they were going to make any money.
I didn't realise until now that there has to be a chargeable deduction from my credit at least once every six months.
    I hardly use the phone.

Looks like I'll have to look for something else when my account has been closed in six months time, maybe this:
