Managed to do it and got a reply saying no matching bundles.

I am wondering whether they have applied it to the original RWG SIM even though I’ve been told they have ported my number across.

Could explain why after making a test call this morning I had a pop-up asking me if I wanted to add [original RWG number] to FaceTime.

Have emailed them again.  This isn’t going well.

  • I'm on the £15 one off top-up of 100 mins, 100 texts and 750MB plan. I text Info ukrwg1 to 669 and I get my allowance texted back to me.

Ah, thank you.  I was using suffix 1.  Will try again.
    Back to basics.
    You have an rwg sim
    You have ported your number

You have topped up £5 or £15?
Did you do it when you ordered the sim? If not how did you top up?
How long ago did your number port?

If you have topped up £15 texting info ukrwg0 will get a "no matching bundles" response. Or vice versa.

Did you definitely enter info ukrwg1 to 669 (with no hashtags or stars) the first time?

Maybe try texting it again, as your first message may not have got through, especially if your number has ported recently.
  • And vice versa, the bundle code is specific to your top up offer.

Ringing *669# will give you an on screen text of your credit balance.

Sometimes it may take a little while to update as the payment is third party processed.
  • And to respond to your question, there isn't an old rwg sim. When you ported your number the sim it came from stopped working and the number rwg issued to you went to be recycled (after a sufficient period of time that it is unlikely anyone would ring it expecting to reach you). Any credit or allowances from rwg will remain on your sim and associate with your new number. However if you then tried to top up the old number it is likely the payment will bounce back as not being a current number.
But as I said if your port has completed recently it may take a day or two to settle down.
I would, and I have elsewhere, advised to top up and check balance and allowances are up and running before beginning a port.
I am a belt and braces man.
  • Just reading back through the thread.
Your sim arrived on 12th August and you had a balance of £15.
Rwg haven't sent you another sim? For example thinking one was lost in the post?
Did you pay the £15 when you ordered the sim or after?
What response do you get if you call *669# now? Has your balance been going down?
Can you use your phone to call out?
When did your port complete  (if it has)
Try calling your number and the number rwg gave you from another phone and see what happens. If your port has completed the number from rwg should say not registered to the network.
  • Does anyone know the short code for changing the length of time your phone will ring before going to voicemail? I know it can usually be set in increments of 5 seconds up to 30 seconds.

    IIRC, it's **61*mailbox number**seconds#

That code gives the following error message:

    "Operator message
    Call forwarding
Connection problem or invalid MMI code.
    (0)"

I also tried it with Wi-Fi turned off but it didn't work either.

Been trying to reply to all the helpful posts for ages but having trouble with the iPad I’m using after my MacBook died so apologies for delay.  Having so many problems with my tech at the moment.

Alan that email address was the one I used, but it’s three days now and no reply.  Haven’t had time to chase them up yet.

Grant to clarify, the only £15 I paid them was when I ordered the SIM.  My balance is still £15 despite playing around on the web for a bit and making a test call, so there must be a free bundle in action.

However I just did the *669# thing to check that the balance is indeed still £15, and immediately had a pop-up on iPad asking if I wanted to add the original RWG number to FaceTime.  I tried dialing the original number from another phone but get the unobtainable tone.  Presumably that confirms that the port of my old number was done.

When I submitted my PAC from Three it took a few days before I got an email from RWG saying it would be done within two working days and they would advise when it was completed.  After four days I messaged them to ask what was happening as they hadn’t let me know, and they replied to say it was all done.

I just want to be able to see what free stuff I’ve got left as and when.  I have just repeated the text to 669 and had another reply saying I have no matching bundles.
Used to be Bogof_Babe.  It did need updating!
