That's it work them like a pro🤣👍Alnat1 said:If you can give them a money/energy saving reason it seems to help.
Let them know it's a better deal than the fix you've been offered with your present company and you like the idea of trying to shift electric usage to cheaper times to help cut carbon emissions..1 -
Is this worth it for me? 640kWh elec & 3000kWh gas used in last 12 months
It's the standing charges that worry me
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.0 -
Agile is 21p standing charge a day for electricity.MouldyOldDough said:Is this worth it for me? 640kWh elec & 3000kWh gas used in last 12 months

My standing charge is 41p per day but I get 13p loyalty reductionMstty said:

And a capped rate of 35p for 12 months?
Have a look at Agile looks like you have been around the forum enough most of the details are in this thread and work out if you fancy it or not.0 -
Can someone be on this (inbound) octopus agile tariff to get 35p units and also be on the (outbound) outgoing agile tariff to get paid for exporting units?

Sadly I've given up and fixed both utilities, leccy til June 23 and gas til June 24 - just found the whole battle too mentally exhausting on either chat or the phone!!Alnat1 said:If you can give them a money/energy saving reason it seems to help.

@morhen yes you can be on both Agile tariffs. The rule Octopus have is if you're on a Go tariff you can't have Agile Outgoing.Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Solar PV 5.25kWp SW facing (14 x 375) installed Mar 22
Lux 3.6kw hybrid inverter and 9.6kw Pylontech batteries
Daikin 8kW ASHP installed Jan 25

What if Agile is not an option for you?wild666 said:I don't find Octopus fixed rates cheap 40.22p and 11.58p on the dearest fix and 38.62p and 11.15p on the cheapest fix, for the Yorkshire region. the electric is over 48% dearer and the gas over 60% dearer. on their most expensive fix which is just a couple of pounds per month dearer than the cheaper fix.I'm inclined to agree with this. 48% more expensive and 60% more expensive than the projected October prices. It doesn't seem worth it to me.It would mean paying more for 4 months, so the only way it would be worth it would be if there was another big rise in the 8 months after October... which may happen, but who knows? I don't know what to do, but doing nothing feels easiest when there is so much uncertainty.Unless people think 41.67p electricity and 11.75p gas are going to be looking particularly good in the future?0

The projected October prices are 12.44 and 41.88, where are the above prices 48% and 60% expensive? For me they look cheaper.zzzt said:What if Agile is not an option for you?wild666 said:I don't find Octopus fixed rates cheap 40.22p and 11.58p on the dearest fix and 38.62p and 11.15p on the cheapest fix, for the Yorkshire region. the electric is over 48% dearer and the gas over 60% dearer. on their most expensive fix which is just a couple of pounds per month dearer than the cheaper fix.I'm inclined to agree with this. 48% more expensive and 60% more expensive than the projected October prices.
