Gas were all good on until end of September 2023 with the Price Promise tariff as long as there's no more changes.
The price will change in October when the cap changes, but it is still a good deal as it will still be a little below the new cap.

Cheers all. I'll have a play about with our usage figures and work out if it's beneficial staying on Go Faster, or if any potential savings made by the off-peak rate will be destroyed by the SC.

Like me logib you need to factor in your usage and savings during off-peak against what you'd pay for the same usage and lower SC on agile for the same period to see if it's worth the switch, as the SC on Go Faster is over double that of Agile.

We've managed to switch a third of our electricity usage to the off-peak period to date, and I know we could do more if we were stricter.

How long are the off peak periods (and what time slots), on Go and Go Faster?

It's 5 hours, and ours begins at 20:30 (The earliest you could choose from) until 01:30, but from memory you could choose your period to start up to 22:30, could've been later.

We’re you already on Go Faster and do you have an Electric Vehicle? I’m on Go Faster but was not offered the chance to renew it only the SVT or Econ7.
@tlcgrantham were you on E7 previously, or were they simply offering to configure your smart meter to give E7 rates?
I'm curious because E7 might work for me if I can't continue on Go in September.

  • They are currently looking for new customers to switch only if they would save by switching compared with being on SVR with existing supplier.

New customers best to say that have seen that Octopus Tracker v3 is currently cheaper than SVR and expected to also be cheaper than SVR after 1 October.

If it helps anyone, I just said that I understood that I would be paying the same, but that I was dumped on EDF due to SOLR and I was keen to move for better customer service. I had zero problem becoming a new customer of Octopus. I managed to get on the Tracker V3 today.

I was on E7 when I joined until Octopus fitted a smart meter and was able to switch to Go Faster 5 hrs from 20:30. I’m still on it until 1/07/2023 hopefully.

What's the SC on Agile? Only thing I could find is potentially 21p where it mentions a daily subscription?

Currently being offered the chance to renew electricity on the Go Faster tariff:

Peak unit rate: 35.66p / kWh
    Off-peak unit rate: 7.50p / kWh
    Standing charge: 41.39p / day

Gas were all good on until end of September 2023 with the Price Promise tariff as long as there's no more changes.

Sorry tlcgrantham I missed your earlier post. Yes, already on Go Faster for the last 12 months, and no we don't have an EV. We don't have economy 7 if it's of any relevance, and our current tariff ends in August this year.
