Thinking about jumping on this.  Seems too good to be true though?  I can't seem to find any information saying the caps are fixed for 12 months though? I think they will just announce an increase to those max prices which will apply to everybody on the tariff....?

Any link which mentions the 12 month cap fix?

@Mstty Thank you very very much.  Appreciate you sharing that.

Seems like an amazing way to beat the projected increases then!  My current electricity rate is 29.5p anyway, so going to 35p is hardly a problem!  And half price standing charge!!!

I suspect that although everybody is mentioning a '52% possible increase' that more of this increase will be on the gas side.... my gas is 7.32 so that is likely to go well above the 11p cap as well!

Most people here agree it's potentially 12.5p for gas and 42p for electricity come October with the current best guesstimates.

Hey if the post helps a few people out I'm happy👍👍

Just suppose the predictions are wrong. For some inconceivable reason wholesale prices are either not as high or even fall next winter. Tracker and Agile customers will be 1st to benefit.

Octopus wouldn't have me as a customer after trying several times ,so I suspect that you have to be really lucky to get switched to these deals !!!

If you can give them a money/energy saving reason it seems to help.

Let them know it's a better deal than the fix you've been offered with your present company and you like the idea of trying to shift electric usage to cheaper times to help cut carbon emissions..
