My son spoke with the company and said they were lovely. They very empathetic and it seems as though there is a mixture of letters sent out in error vs legitimate.1

Having the same problem here with the letter how did you resolve this ?0
-
He called the law firm direct after speaking with adidas. I would recommend doing just this.0

What did you all say to them about this? I’ve prove of me returning the package from the tracking information so dunno why they sent out this letter from a order 8 months ago0
-
I've received conflicting advice about even contacting them. The letter provides zero information so nothing can be enforced. I believe they're just mass producing these letters on a large scale from what I've read online0

I got my letter yesterday and hearing it’s an acc law firm I needy ring them soon to straight this out, adidas have gave no help to me or others Just said to contact dwf I could see adidas losing a lot of customers because of this0

yes it's absolutely disgraceful of Adidas. This letter came to me randomly out of the blue too, nothing ever mentioned from adidas. Just a random debt collector letter. I will never use Adidas again.
I would probably ring them and provide evidence that you've sent the items back through your tracking link with royal mail. The onus is on them to prove the debt.
Let us know how you get on!0 -
I’m using the evidence of when I sign into my adidas account it says delivered to post office everything’s says it was delivered to post office, I’ve tried loads of times ringing them but no answer which isn’t good sign0

It appears they're very difficult to get hold of. You may have to email them and attach the proof0

As:
(1) DWF appear to be a bona fide and legitimate law firm, and
(2) These letters all seem to have been generated or originated from actual real transactions with Adidas,
I would conclude that whatever error or mistake has led to these letters being sent out is a mistake made by Adidas.
If I'd received one of these letters I'd be making the strongest possible complaints to Adidas and telling them to get this resolved with their agent.
It might be helpful for other posters if the OP could give more deatil about how her son contacted both Adidas and DWF, what he said to both of them, and what they said to him.smartypants1902 said:He called the law firm direct after speaking with adidas. I would recommend doing just this.
I'd be looking for a lot of free expensive kit from Adidas. If I'd received that letter from DWF acting on behalf of Adidas, I'd expect Adidas to be sorting it out with DWF, not telling me to do it myself...0
