I hope they've offered to cover their embarrassment over this mistake with some free kit?

I wouldn't be happy to have received that letter and then discover that it had been sent in error...

Good customer service to get such a matter resolved within a bank holiday weekend.

Bad customer service to have accused a customer of deceit and causing upset to their family.

Normally I would agree with your sentiment but it isn't a bank holiday everywhere today and AFAIK Adidas are based in Germany.
  • Reading between the lines it seems as though there has been a tranche of letters sent out to adidas customers.

I definitely think there’s more to this one, but I work in the director’s office for a large retail company and we’ve been working all weekend, including today. So not really that unusual.

Accidents happen. I still remember being sent a letter from the Halifax addressed to the 'Deceased PowerfulRogue'
Some people got up in arms about it, I had a chucke and thought 'Ah well'.

I too also recieved a letter very similar to this claiming to be someone representing Adidas, from a company called DWF, I contacted Adidas Live chat and was told that Adidas would never send such letters to their customers and was advised to ignore.

I have received a very similar letter this morning!! They're expecting £769.00 from an order that I placed and sent back at the start of November. Adidas live chat have said some customers have been contacted by DWF and there's nothing they can do to assist.

The letter is the exact same format as yours, they're claiming they haven't received my return despite the tracking say it's been delivered and a confirmation email from them saying they have received my items back and even listing what they've received..

what on earth is going on. I'm really worried this could go further. The letter has no details apart from a sum which I find very strange.. they could be anyone!
