I can't quite work out if the car is parked in the second or third space.  The first two spaces are blank and the third space looks like the start of the HSBC spaces. That said the marking on the tarmac are faint and could have easily been missed.

If you reversed in you are unlikely to have noticed the markings. The rest of the signage is non existant.

This company does have form when it comes down to not maintaining car parks.

On the walls of the building there is some signage but I cannot read what it says. It does not look as comprehensive as some signage and I cannot see an amount mentioned.

There is also a lot of other random signage which is a distraction.

If PPL do pursue this through the courts I think that they could struggle.

    The signage is not clear.
    The markings are faded.
There are other random signs which creates "noise".
You have still retained certain staff benefits.
Do you still have a staff account?

    Ok, an update on this.

Having spoken to HSBC where initially they were fobbing me off - i spoke to someone in HR and described all the details at length about all teh details of this. I was assured that this would be sent and dealt with.
Anyways, fast forward to last week and i get a letter from PPC demanding £100 or the matter would be escalated to their debt recovery people and the fine increasing to £160 with the threat of court action.

I spoke to HR again, and someone had gone and closed my query down. I then had to explain it all again. The next day i got a missed call and voice-mail saying they cant help with this, which is very frustrating as they are clearly not doing their jobs.
I decided to go to the branch even though it takes me about an hour and half each way to get to and costs money I feel I shouldn't have to spend when a phone-call would have been far faster and easier. When i get to the branch it was closed "due to unforeseen circumstances. I tried again the next day and again the branch was closed with the same notice. Frustrated, i called telephone banking, and was advised branch was open a few hours in the morning and then was closed the day before and that day. I was assured they would be open as normal the next day. After pushing a bit i found out that the closure was due to an outbreak of Covid in the branch, the customer rep was very hesitant to tell me this.
The outbreak of Covid is very worrying as i am a carer for ill members of my family as well as having health issues myself. I would rather not knowingly go into an environment that has had an outbreak of Covid.

I have sought advice about this matter and have been given the info to start the process for an employment tribunal as the bank has breached the TUPE contract stating i will retain staff benefits as a part of the leaving process. If i started this, it would still not stop this company from escalating and increasing the fine.

I am going to send a letter of complaint to them. In that i would like to complain with what i have been advised here (lack of clear signs, faded markings), and i would also like to add that the way this was done was wrong too ie no help from the fining person, the wrong info presented to me from joe public in front of this fining guy, and that the ticket process started 16 seconds after exiting the vehicle.
Is there anything i have missed for the complaint above? Is it worth me ringing IPC or someone else and seeing if they can intervene.

In the end I'd just like this matter to be resolved without paying anything to this cowboy company. I don't have the time to deal with it as i have too many stressful things to juggle and many problems to still already deal with.

Regarding HSBC, after months i was recently told (after going in twice and the branch being closed) that i can have a appointment scheduled). This was only recently told about. I didn't even think to get an appointment scheduled. However, due to the Covid outbreak i would rather not risk that especially since they already knew from previous outbreaks and also not advising customers about this and claiming it to be due to "unforeseen circumstances". They should be honest for those individuals who or sick and or immune compromised.

Also, should i add that the Driver is a HSBC staff member, and also should i add that they cannot charge more than £50 for the fine due to legislation and yet they are stating £100 on the signs and letters?
And, i would also like them to not increase the fine to £160 and or add further charges. Can i state to them that they should not add any further costs and to directly take to court the driver if they feel that they have a case?

In order to complain to the IPC (NEVER BY PHONE) you firstly have to complain in writing to the PPC. So do that, yes.

    Probably clutching at straws but:-

Just a thought  -  would anybody at "Horizons" be able to help?  -  after all they are aware of pcn's:-

"If you attended our recent AGM and lunch at Shillingford Bridge on 26th April you will probably receive a parking notice as the hotel forgot to input the registration numbers that we provided into their system.  Those who drove if you receive a parking fine you do not need to pay anything or contact the parking company.  Please reply to this email with your name and the PCN number and we will then send them to the Hotel, alternatively call Shillingford Bridge on 01865 858567to get it cancelled.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused and please rest assured that the fines will be cancelled and you will not receive any further correspondence from the Parking company."

Hi, thank you for the info.
This is actually who i eventually got through to and who are not doing their jobs. They apparently do all the HR for HSBC and the contact number is the one that I've used to speak to them. They have been utterly useless and actually keep trying to wash their hands of it by taking all the details and then when someone calls they only ring once and leave a message saying we cant help its your issue.
I have rang this number and they advice because its a different location that they are not able to help. The lady was very nice and appreciated the circumstances i was in but unfortunately had no way of helping.

But they clearly do, based on their website. Shove that in their face and tell them to stop lying to you!
