Hi everyone
My friend paid me back for the items i bought at the theatre on Tuesday so that has now become a NSDToday has been a spendy day. Bought a present for DD2's birthday later this month & did a shop at t0sco, mostly cat food but spent £40 eek. Have a meal plan in my head for the next 7 days, hoping not to do anymore spends on food except bread.
Went to self emp job this morning then logged into work for the afternoon. Finished at 4.30 & walked most of the way into town to a vigil for Ukraine, was very moving. Got some YS bread in arseda & made myself a nice tea. Managed 10k steps and have eaten fairly well. Having my own kitchen disco to R2 sounds of the 80s
Gratitudes - nice text chats to friends, one is 60 today, another suggested a walk on Sunday - do love my friends; useful virtual call with colleague at FT job, colleague offered some support with our meetings which could reduce our workload a little; going to self emp job which i enjoy & being able to have flexibility at FT job to keep up my self emp role
Love DeniLBM - October 2018; finally debt free on 16 March 2021

Hi turtles
ldee2111 glad you had a great holiday
thrifty taylor your beach trip sounded lovely.
I had a really great week. I seem to have turned a corner at work and feel much more comfortable doing the job. I have been generally talking to people more and even made a gym buddy who I’ve signed up for classes with on mondays in march. I also start intensive Spanish classes on Tuesday. They are pricey but work gave me a grant for 50% of the cost.
Me and bff went for a couple of drinks in our barrio last night and were home at a respectable hour to make fajitas and watch english telly. Going to a market today where I’m hoping to pick up a few presents for birthdays and things and maybe a good quality item of clothing.
I’m on 0 NSDs but I did make two charity donations this week.
Grateful for colleagues, for bff making fajitas, for the luck of selecting an avocado that was perfectly ripe to make amazing guac, for a beautiful sky on the walk home yesterday.
Have a great weekend turtles xxx

Today did more food shopping as veg got yesterday wasn't great, also needed a few more things. Is plain flour hard to buy atm or is it just me? Perhaps a run on it with pancakes? Seen petrol above 160p mark today it is scary.
Haven't got kids tonight so having a spa night. Cooked shredded pork in slow cooker so rolls and coleslaw tomorrow with it.
Have to confess only walking I did was around the shops, it was freezing cold near the seafront. Got some washing part dried and put another lot out after another rain shower.
Idee bit early to plant much outside atm, I just have few tubs with daffodils in, the little small ones. I fancy doing raised beds with veg this year. Most of my garden I have bushes in. Will start tidying up when not so wet the ground.
Bought new tea coffee cannisters today fed up of metal ones rusting, so got some fairly cheap pottery ones. Now my extractor fan has decided to stop working sure its just over a year old, can't find socket to check it, have feeling have to take the fitted oven out to see it - eek.
Grateful for
Cheap lunch at sausage roll place.
Hot drinks on a cold day.
Heating put on tonight, needed to dry clothes and warm my paws up.

Was a spend day as I did a food shop. Also made a donation to charity. I managed to delete about 350 emails over the past few days. Trying to keep on top of things around the flat.
Grateful for:
Getting new books out from the library.
Making good bus connections.
Having a chilled out afternoon.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 201310
