Evening turtles
Was on call today, planned to get up early and go swimming to be back for my 9am start but ignored my alarm and slept until 8.45 instead! Must've needed it as I fell asleep on the sofa last night as well. My back is playing up a bit over the last few days and that always leads to interrupted sleep.
Got up, did some yoga instead of swimming, put henna in my hair, washed my rabbits' litter trays, cleaned the aquarium, made one veggie spag bol and one normal one in the slow cooker. Started painting in the hallway where it's been replastered, only managed the cutting in but it's a start. Had to buy eggs and some toothpaste. Also got 6 massive muffins of different flavours for £3.50 using my too good to go app. Have put 5 in the freezer to be used for work as and when. I think they cost about £3 each normally. Just got a load of washing on then time for dinner and TV.

NSD #2, sorted out slightly too small school uniform to go to c/s, quick swipe round the house tidying, played m0n0p0ly - I won, I was first bankrupt after only 2 hours
I do so hate m0n0p0ly. Made scones, made lunch, did laundry. All in all a good and productive day. Not stressed, and not spendy for once.
Gratitudes: only 2 hours of my life wasted on the stupid game, raspberry jam, cashout on p/a4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today I am grateful for getting myself out and about early on and walking a lot, for free resources for work, for easy TV, for swapping numbers with a dance mum as we talk about going for a coffee and then don't coincide, for dc finding some fan fiction to get immersed in.

Haha! @f0xh0les - that's how I like to play m0n0p0ly too! 😂
Shattered today - went out with DH and DS3 for breakfast at a gorgeous independent eaterie in a wee village. Was sociable talking to people there so came home and led down for a couple of hours, semi snoozing 😄
Thankful for more flowers (although am running out of vases!), for early bday presents (bday is tomorrow), for leftovers for easy dinner.I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £2011 -
Evening
I've done lots of movement today as i met a friend at a country park and we had a long walk and picnic - did 14k steps. Put washing on the line before i left. Came home, got dry washing off the line and then cleaned the bathroom. Made myself a nice tea and listened to R2. Did spend a small amount of money on an icecream and some salad and bread.
gratitudes - sunny and dry day; friend for driving a longer distance to meet nearer to me; another friend for lending her walking book; having a peaceful evening

Evening Turtles. Today was spendy as I bought some new floor tiles for the bathroom, only £33 as my bathroom is TINY! There is scope to knock it into the separate toilet next door to it, but that would leave us with only one toilet. So the plan for the future is to have a porch built with a downstairs toilet, better get saving! So the tiny bathroom is having a tiny makeover at the moment.
Today I am grateful for persuading OH to do some sanding for me (I love painting but hate the preparation), a message from DS1 in Canada and a nice walk round a local beauty spot with a cup of tea in the cafe.12 -
Hi 👋
todays update:
House - full clean today used a tip I’d seen about using screen wash on shower screen, windows & mirrors. Very impressed! Washing machine worked very hard today - where does it all come from?!
Garden - DH raked up lots of leaves & twigs, looks so much tidier.
Life admin - letter from mortgage company reminding us we can now apply for a new rate so that’s my task for this next week.Happiness - a clean house makes me happy today and a visit from my sister.
NSD - 2/16
grateful for:
nice drying weather
clean house
catch up with my sister

A good day at work yesterday, followed by staying the night at mum's. Took her shopping last night, as she works on a Saturday, & I needed to do my big shop this morning, so saved diesel. We did some knitting & pampering.
A beautiful sunny day today. Dropped mum at work, bought coal, then dropped off some hats, gloves & a couple of blankets that we've made recently, for the Ukraine appeal. Did big shop, put it all away, then dug over one of the raised beds & tidied an area in the garden. Very achy afterwards, so read & deleted lots of emails. Washed the dishes after tea, then cut out fabric to make a chicken, lavender fish & bunting. I often cut something out, then return the remnants to my stash, but need to use some up & clear space, so cut as many things out of each piece as possible to avoid doing this. Did some knitting afterwards. Donated money to Ukraine appeal.
Grateful for pupil saying he couldn't have coped with Thursday's meeting without me, fun with mum, spending time in the garden, lots of snowdrops & crocus in my garden, a sense of achievement 😍Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
