Today I am so tired I could cry. no spend. work is frustrating
Am grateful for a student telling me they liked my top, surprising and kind. The dogs and an easy dinner. (plus tomorrow is FRIDAY! )
XxxNevertheless she persisted.14 -
I could get used to being a lady of leisure - lie in until 8.30am, never happens even at weekends with grandkids staying every Friday to Sunday.
More tidying and some paperwork sorted and as the weather was pants, met my friends for a coffee this afternoon. Was good to have a decent chat about everything going on in the world
Little veg food shop this afternoon was planning to have shredded pork in slow cooker but with not putting heating on, might be Saturday before its defrosted. Living under my heated throw to save some pennies.
Have done a few surveys today.
With going out stopped me eating as much but only done 7500 steps with the rain. Looks better weather tomorrow so will get some exercise in.
Grateful for
Friends, laughing, having time for myself.

Evening
Hoorah for Friday eh @Buffythedebtslayer?First check-in of the month for me, and first NSD. I have finally used up the food from the freezer, so I did an order yesterday which was delivered today. I love frozen fruit, so filled a drawer with that to snack on over the next few weeks.
Work has been a nightmare, but after everything that’s happened over the past two years, I remain grateful that I have a job, even if it regularly annoys me. Working where I do, I am lucky to be able to move around in different roles, and in different departments, and my current role would certainly fall into the non essential, but mostly fun category! My next role is very unlikely to be similar, so I will stay where I am for now.
I didn’t make it to the food bank on Tuesday, so when I go to the supermarket on Saturday, I will buy some stuff for their appeal and they will deliver it to the food bank I would have donated to anyway. It’s not open at the weekend, so if I do that, they are more likely to get a donation from me.
Tomorrow will be a NSD and so will Sunday.
Grateful for my job, frozen fruit, Diet Coke and the Internet today.

A good, but long day. Went swimming with a pupil this morning, then taught me how to play Irish Snap. Didn't even know there was such a game, but great fun! A slightly tricky start to the afternoon, but soon improved. Stayed after work for a long meeting, but pupil said I'd helped him to feel calm by being there, so well worth it. Tired when I got home. Had a phonecall from a new customer (I know her sister), wanting me to shorten 6 dresses, so I'm going to be busy! Looking forward to my turn in the bath for a long soak - that reminds me, I need to choose a new book to take in with me!
Grateful for playing games, giving support when needed most, not having to start cooking after a long day (hubby is a house husband, so says it's only fair that he cooks for me, as I did for him when he went out to work)Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Today I sorted some paperwork and recycled some of it- getting rid of a tiny bit if stuff. I also put 2 strings of non working solar lights for recycling more stuff gone 😃
I was bored (only so much catch up tv I can watch and games I can play - I haven't got concentration level to get into a new book but have read some magazines I was given and will pass them on) so I baked Twinks 😋😋 added some coconut to the last tray of them - that also works well!
I've posted DS2's form off to get his PBs and other NSandI stuff in his control (well, theoretically, at any rate...) but I do still need to sort him a new passport - not that we are planning anything abroad anytime soon but it needs doing. I also need to sort him a c/account out in his name with a card so that the accounts can be funded easily. I would like to get both of those sorted this month if I remember....
Went to tesc0 with DH tonight - got several YS goodies but could also see the price rises everywhere
Dyed my eyebrows today - bought the dye kits during lockdown so am determined to use them up. I'm also using more face products at the mo (taking time to also use serum and eye cream, rather than just slap on a smear of moisturiser) and will use one of the many face masks I have at the weekend - probably a detox one as my skin is suffering a (most likely stress related) breakout.
Ooh - and booked some free online work related training for later this month (when I'm back) - looks good for my performance review 😁I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2023: £253.6013 -
Evening
NSD 2 today. Went into work, spent half the day in virtual meetings! Met a new colleague; another colleague told me she's leaving, boohoo. Drove home in the pouring rain, made tea from supplies using up some stuff from the fridge. Had a walk in the rain to get some steps in - managed 12k steps today, then had a shower and got into bed with 2 hot water bottles! Put heating on for half an hour when DD1 was here.
Gratitudes - friendly new colleague; some interesting work on the horizon; catch up TV

Evening everyone, here’s my day 3 ramblings.
Work - went to the office, did loads of filing and I’m going to think about how I file things & see if there’s a better way. It’s probably more faffy than it needs to be! Was nice to see colleagues, use as decent printer and a proper phone instead of my mobile. Forgot what a pain parking is but luckily found a space.
Life Admin - DS passport posted and ticked off the list ✅
Happiness - Agreed to go to a small festival in the summer to celebrate a friends birthday. Hadn’t budgeted for it as didn’t realise I’d have to pay now. Things like this trip me up! I need a pot for this I think. May take it from gifts pot for now.
Mental Health - Trying to put silly everyday moans into perspective.
Physical Health - Will achieve my steps & have kept to my calories. A colleague kindly left a creme egg for me on my desk and it’s still there!
Charity - donation made for DS activity visit tonight
NSD - 0/16. Had to pay for postage, festival & donation should achieve one tomorrowFun - too many fun things in the future need something sooner!
Spends - books updated with todays spends

Good Evening 🌚
Busy few days and work has been hellish to say the least. Usual story - over worked - underpaid! Roll on weekend!!!
Not back into my rhythm still and not sure why or what's going on with me. Just can't be a*sed with anything. Feeling very disconnected from myself and unsettled - is the best way I can put it. Will make a concerted effort on my days off to get back on track and get grounded.
Had a very humbling moment on the way back from the gym; a lad walking up the road - I thought he was fitting, but it was just how he coped and managed to walk... literally scraping his feet - looking like he was going to trip - but somehow staying upright. He was carrying his rucksack, but had little control over his arms. I just thought what an amazing guy. To be like that and still face life head on. I felt very guilty for being so down about this and that - when I am so lucky to have all of the things I take for granted sometimes.
Thanks Apple for the reminder not to expect perfection. Your welcome DrCarrie although just as a warning - I have had such bad abdominal cramps the last 2 days I think I'll be knocking that dozen-a-day right back haha.
Today I am grateful for:
1) Catching up with myself at work
2) The amazing guy I saw reminding me of what I do have
3) Positive feedback from colleagues
