Today I am grateful for getting outside in the sunshine (no choice, really, as I was on break duty, but it was lovely out there), for nabbing a few bricks (I have a cunning plan...) from the rubbish pile by the roadworks, for another cunning plan for my school talent show, for the apple tree starting to bud, for dc wanting to go on a residential school trip so much that they don't care about the food side of it.

Evening Turtles. It’s all kicking off here, police cars and helicopter looking for someone with a sword apparently. Even DS2 decided not to go out and have a look!
Another NSD, lost count now but obviously that’s how to do it, just spend all your money at the beginning of the month then have lots of NSD’s (only joking!)
Today I am grateful for a lovely walk by the sea (flat calm, so probably had more visitors) being able to sit in the garden with a cup of tea and all my plants starting to grow leaves after looking like twigs all winter.12 -
Went to the bungalow, mostly sorting out in the yard. Moved stuff I want to bring back here near to the gate. Did 2 trips in the car with me picking out the most essential stuff. I have the tv - not set up yet.
Have eaten well, ate some of my 88p meals and most of a bag of veg stir fry for 4 - have managed 10.5 f & v. Rested this afternoon and have been outside for about an hour this evening, scraping the path with a hoe, chopping back the ivy and pyracantha and a bit of litter picking.
Grateful for moving things on, daffodils and hyacinth in bloom (planted for mum last autumn), good books, an NSD, little bits of the house looking tidy and organised. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage12 -

Evening all 😃 a beautiful, sunny day here on our island, quite warm too! Had a great morning until 10 mins before lunch, then a bit tricky. My afternoon was changed to go & help with another member of staff & an unsettled pupil, then halfway through the afternoon, I was left to sort them on my own whilst they cut signs out! 😠 Meeting after work, then picked most of our household up & went out for a meal. Thanks for the birthday wishes for DH. When we came home it was nearly dark, as we got out of the car, we could hear frogs croaking in our ponds. First time we've heard them this year! I washed the dishes, then we watched an episode of a series about a Brummie flat cap wearing family. Very tired now.
Grateful for a nice meal, a beautiful day, the frog chorus (must've been singing happy birthday to DH😉)Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Hi all
NSD today, easy to do as i spent 2 hours in the car and 9 hours in work. Didn't get lunch till 4pm!
DD1 came round this eve and we went for a walk and called at her bestie's for a cuppa tea.
Gratitudes - nice time with DD1, coffee break chat with nice colleague; reasonable boss covering meetings so i don't have to go into work

NSD 11, bought a £1.50 magic box from Leeedel and a 20p ys loaf and a 50p ys pack of bramley apple and cinnamon hot cross buns.Went to work in my new-to-me 50p top with floaty sleeves and new-to-me 50p skirt that matches it exactly (with a floaty hemline rather than a skirt with sleeveage) and my 50p dangly necklace. Foodbank massively busy today - everyone has had their new dd's for gas and electric and if they don't have a spare £80+ in their budget, then they will be coming to us.Came home to the new sheets and the new bedframe delivered while I was out. Good old DH took in all my parcels.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Evening everyone. No NSD today as had to post a parcel to DS1 in Canada to try to cheer him up as his MH is really fragile at the moment, hopefully £16 well spent. Had my suggested DD for gas and electric, £295 per month, eek! Decided to up it to £250 and see how that goes for now. At least with the weather being so nice we haven’t had the heating on for 3 days running now. In other news, I think the petrol stations round here have become confused over the drop in fuel duty as one just reduced diesel by 5p and another increased petrol and diesel by 5p each! I suppose it depends what they paid for it.
Today I am grateful for an hour long call from DS1 (even though I was worried about the content of it) another beautiful day and another lovely walk.11 -
@f0xh0les I can only imagine how busy foodbanks must be, I saw a depressing info graphic earlier about the difference between the increase in UC and the increase in electricity bills
Busy couple of days at work, been in the office but it's been really productive and I enjoy spending time with my team. Weather has been beautiful as well, it's been lovely walking from the station without a jacket!
Have had a few spends in the past couple of days, including a piece of exercise equipment, birthday present for my dad, and food shopping delivery.
Grateful for enjoying work, beautiful weather, and celebrity bake off.10 -
Today I am grateful for dh collecting dc, for a fab parents evening, for the sofa being delivered, for feeling like I had time to get things done today.
