woke up early, did 3 hours work at FT job then logged off and met a friend for a coffee. Had a lovely wander round the shops in the sunshine, bought a skirt in a CS and then a cardi in Sainz to match it ! Am going to return a dress i bought online that doesn't fit properly so it will balance outBought some eggs for chocolate sunday and bought a card and small gift for a friend who starts a new job soon.
Going to have an early night as i seem to wake up at 6am every day zzzzzzzzz
gratitudes - catch up with friend; relaxed afternoon enjoying the sunshine and a look round the shops; chilled Fri eve with no plans & no work
love Deni

Thoughts are with you f0xh0les xx
Been mia as just still so tired 4 weeks on from surgery. Have been working from home for a week (around 5hours a day) and then into the office yesterday and today (still officially signed off jntil Thurs next week but doc is OK with me working g reduced hours and easier stuff if I want) - both days I came home and fell asleep. Next week I am going to work even shorter days until I can manage being in the office without needing a nap after!
Results from op back - they removed all the cancer but it had almost tripled in size in the 5 wèks since biopsy- so good job it was caught when it was! Lymph thankfully clear. Now need some more tests to figure out next stage in treatment.
Oh - and DS2 tested positive for covid tonight (he also had it back in October when we all did).. sigh.
Thankful for NHS and screening programmes, for their fab staff, for having a neat scar, for lovely colleagues, for sunny weather.I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £2010 -
Went out in the yard armed with factor 30 and my little sunhat. Planted more fruit bushes, hung washing out, watered things, cut down a 'tree', pulled the pieces of rotten panel down (I put it up 23 years ago but something's been eating it) - one of the posts came away too. Scraped the ground on the outside of the back wall, separated out rubbish, stones and weeds - have 2 whole buckets of soil - 20+ years of rotted down ivy.
Took library books back, picked more and went to afternoon film club. had an hour or so resting then put shoes back on and went shopping. Bought flax seeds, 2 turtle bags, 2 packs of eco dishwasher tablets and garden twine from the no waste shop and asked about tickets for evening film club. Carried on to Will Co's bought primulas to add to the planters at mum's, 2 bowls and some bits. Came back, ate raw cabbage, leek, carrot and celery then made the effort to go to film club.
Grateful for getting things done (didn't get through to the pharmacy), more books sorted and a paper bag filled (and half a green bin), a funny film and a very good drama, interesting books, being able to get dressed to go out in 5 minutes. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage9 -

Thinking of you @f0xh0les. Hugs @greent, glad they've removed the tumour before it got even bigger! Look after yourself now & recharge your batteries x
A good day at work today, had some laughs this afternoon with a pupil. Took mum shopping. When I'd put all ours away, I wrapped up all DS1's presents ready for tomorrow, cant believe I'll have a 20 year old! He & DS3 have gone wild camping tonight in a woodland, they have great adventures together.
Grateful for a good day, discussion with hubby about a new place to explore off the beaten track - hoping to look for it over the weekend, one week left until the holidaysUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
