Nice to see you back on @abundant1972 - hugs for you and anyone who needs or would like one.
Today I bought DS and OH's birthday presents - their birthdays are days apart. I also did my midweek top-up shop which was a carton of milk. And I also bought new toothbrush heads which had 50% off at the moment.
Waiting on a couple of payments going back into my sad-looking current account: work travel expenses and a refund from the 'Rainforest Retailer'.
I checked my nectar points today and I've accumulated £15 so that's going towards my grocery shop this week. Haven't yet decided whether I'll use the extra money to buy some more of our regularly-used items, or whether to put £15 to an OP on the mortgage.
Grateful today for Dad picking up DS from nursery, for getting some work 'priorities' ticked off my list, and for a quick and easy freezer dinner.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸9 -
Hi all thanks for hugs, I did it, a whole day of doc's appointment, work, open evening, micro shop, omelet and chat w ds, and here I am back on the couch, will be off to bed after another day of close to zero exersize - otherwise ok.
A work task I have put off for weeks, only took about 40 minutes, once I got all of the right documents opened.
Somebody has put my bin out, I'll leave my sunflower babies out, do kitchen in the morning and go brush my teeth.

Hugs to everyone struggling just now x
Miscounted yesterday, so I'm now on NSD#14
Woke up ok today, but felt really tired by the time I was driving to work! Work went ok, caught up with a colleague afterwards, who works part time, haven't seen her for ages! Wrapped hubby's birthday presents ready for tomorrow, & mum's for Sunday (will have to do DS1's before Saturday), then made a card for hubby & 1for mum. Did a quick sewing job. Had messages from 3 customers wanting my help, going to be very busy!!
Grateful for lovely weather, recurring & new customers, finishing the last of my huge tin of sproutmas chocolates - won't have the temptation alongside me now!Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Glad to see you back Abundant.
Ditty - hope you are feeling a bit brighter.
Thanks for the book suggestions Deni. I don't think I've tried Jojo Moyes but remember liking Jodi Picoult, i think about a heart transplant patient. Very thought provoking.
Mothernerd - I don't know how you do it all!
No NSD this month, so a bit miffed with myself about that. Decided not to buy a paper today but got some school exercise books and pens for the lady at work who is organising school stuff for Ukrainian children taking refuge in Poland. They want to get them into school asap.
Just baked my cheese straws for lunchbox tomorrow. Cooked and ate a pie out of freezer to use it up for tea.
Gratitudes: A lovely sunny day so I could eat my work lunch outside, finding the school books, staying clear of covid so far at work. X

Hi turtles, sending hugs to anyone who needs one!!
I feel a bit slow and rubbish this week despite exercising and eating properly so did one of my COVID tests that I brought back from UK at Xmas, was negative. Finally managed first nsd for ages yesterday, I think I’m only on 3 or so. I haven’t been counting and I suspect my budgets are now exceeded for the month as I imagined it was a 4 week month. Getting better in lots of respects but still a way to go.Had a good convo with bf yesterday about me making my own friends here etc. I realised I do need to spend more time alone/ without him sometimes and I told him and he encouraged that. I feel sad that I may have hurt him but relieved that I got it off my chest. Grateful for caring bf, for enjoying work, for only having small problems.Have a wonderful day turtlesStudent loan £5655

NSD 10.Absolutely knackered today, was woken at 4 by strobe lights through the bedroom window, some poor soul on the next road had a house fire, and 6 fire engines plus police (we are near a petrol station) were ouside, road closures, cordons and police cars blocking my car in. So no matter how bad my day may be, I am really aware that I have nothing much to whine about in the great scheme of things - kids' messy bedrooms just don't swing it today. The engines are still pouring water down the chimney stack on a cherry picker. 5 hours later. Just hope everyone got out.Gratitudes: I have not set my house on fire, managing to wedge myself into size 14 trousers and being quite comfy, bed frame coming tomorrow.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

You know those days when you wake up and say to yourself... nope?!
Grateful today for birds in the garden keeping me entertained, for the sea of daffodils growing nearby, and for the beautiful warming sunshine.
