Wow @mothernerd, you're a wonder! Pleased you're having some rest periods in between all your activity!
Forgot to say that at the top of the big hill yesterday, we saw what I thought was a hawk, but turns out it was a Hen Harrier 😃
Woke up early today, so had a quiet time exercising & catching up on emails. All 3 boys made me a card each (though didn't get DS2's one till teatime). Got chocs & a dvd of the brilliant book I'd just finished. Went a 4.5 mile walk with DS, another sunny day, but a cool wind blowing. After dinner I went to town to visit Mum. She loved her book & the homemade bunting. Watched my new DVD, afraid the film wasn't as good as the book, a bit disappointed. Got some knitting done whilst watching, & mum did some crochet. She gave me a book & some sweets, which was a nice surprise.
Watched C4tchphr4se with DS1. Listed some of the sorted coins on eboy, still lots more to do! Had a nice bath with my book & a hot chocolate face mask.
Grateful for my boys, spending time with mum, seeing a pheasant, tadpoles & swans on our walkUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Mothernerd - You are doing a great job under difficult circumstances. Don't wear yourself out. Allow yourself some rest and TLC.
Up early today so mum and I could car boot before family arrived for lunch. Made sure to wrap up warm this week. Found a few bits and pieces, mostly for my toddler great nephew. Nothing fits him for long so nice second-hand clothes are ideal.
Bought some small items/toys for the Christmas shoebox appeal. Will drop those off later this week. Have volunteered to thread some bracelets for them so that will be a change.
Family arrived later than planned but it gave us time to prepare the food. Lovely to see them all. Haven't seen my sister for over a month since her op. Nice to catch up.
My son had a look at the rear springs on my car for me whilst they were visiting. Apparently 'a bumpstop has come off inside the spring and is rattling around'. He's going to order a new one and research how to fit it. He's so good and very practical.
Had a lovely card and prezzys but it was just so nice to see him and his family.
Sorted out some watercolour stuff for my day class on Saturday. Need to find an old toothbrush and a few other things that are on the list. Last time my friend and I went we had been told the wrong things so don't want a repeat this time!
Gratitudes: Seeing the family and spending time together, finding some lovely second hand toddler clothes, nice food and a fine dry day. X

Haven't posted for a few days, it's been a bit spendy here but all within budget. I took the opportunity to buy some things I needed with the extra money I had this month rather than next month. So I've bought protein bars, new toothbrushes, some winter boots that were on sale, and I also made a small investment and put some money aside for riding lessons.
Had a quiet weekend, did some cleaning and painting, went for a swim on Saturday, went to see my share horse on Sunday and had a short ride. Then down to RDA to help film for their virtual dressage championship. Was knackered last night but didn't sleep well for some reason. Had physio this morning and then went into the office. Bit annoyed as paid for a peak train ticket for Wednesday but now don't need to be in, so I've cancelled it but don't get a full refund. I don't know why I ordered that ticket in advance, I always pre-order my off peak tickets as they're cheaper but the peak ones are the same price regardless. Lesson learned!
Grateful for lovely weather on Saturday, a quiet weekend and a good day at work.10 -
I’d ordered a storybook for DS’s birthday on the rainforest retailer website then saw it was £1.20 cheaper elsewhere. Cancelled the original order and bought again from the other site. I’m now £1.20 better off 👍🏻On my lunch break I started some spring clearing. Just managed a quick reassessment of ‘do I need all these board games and jigsaw puzzles?’ I have 1 game going to the charity shop, and 3 jigsaws going back to Mum’s. The rest are staying for now. My next targets in that cupboard are two small filing cabinets - one has life admin stuff and the other holds keepsakes.Grateful today for feeling ready to get out of bed this morning, lighter days, the sun, and a video chat with Mum.

Today I am grateful for having the car to get to and from work, for a quiet day, for sorting out my login to a new system, for dh making tea, for doing a workout.

nsd 15/16 should have been 16/16 but had to pay for DS footy event!
Listed an item on ebaee, money from that goes into ds birthday/ party pot which is already building up nicely.
Feeling a bit flat today. Reviewing our income protection policies seems so much money! I know it would be worth it if we ever needed it but it’s due to go up (like flipping everything)! I’m going to have to reduce my overpayments to cc debt to cover all of these increases and therefore prolong my DFD unless I get an amazing pay rise (don’t know until Thursday). Feels abit like I’m living to work at the moment and just treading water.
The last 2 covid years I thought I was doing really well with my gift account and recently realised during covid I’d send a card & a gift or a gift card but now it’s a card, gift AND going out to celebrate with whoever’s occasion it is! Tried to suggest celebrating instead of gift or gift instead of going out but falls on deaf ears so extra cost there too.
hoping to wake up in a more positive frame of mind tomorrow!
grateful for:
good work day
ds completing his homework early

NSD#15
A good day at work, though had brain ache as doing assessments with lots of little ones, one at a time! The woman finally came to pick up a jacket I was selling, after arranging a date, then changing it til the next day 3 times! Told her yesterday that if she didn't come today, I was re-advertising it! Have now blocked her, so it won't happen again. Completed 2 sewing jobs after tea. A friend saw some internal doors for free on local page, knowing that I needed a couple for my porch revamp. Managed to get a glazed one, just waiting to hear if there's a wooden one left at the weekend 🤞
Grateful for helpful friends, warmer weather, a bid on my eboy listings

NSD#1! Fanfare of trumpets, please! Fetch the cheerleaders off the chaise for a quick shake if their pompoms!
Didn't feel the love for getting up this morning at 5.30am for work, especially as it was frosty and foggy (outside, not in my bedroom!). Felt better once I'd driven a few miles and into the sunshine.
Work went ok. Still a few off with covid. Got a bit of a sore throat tonight so praying its not it. Tested this morning and clear so see how I feel in the tomorrow.
Booked mum's covid spring booster for Wednesday afternoon. Couldn't get an evening appointment to take her so she's says she'll go on her own. Will do a dry run tomorrow so she knows where to go. If she's worried then I'll rearrange it.
Ordered repeat prescription this morning and it was delivered in the afternoon. We are so lucky with our local surgery. Need to book a blood test to recheck Vitamin D level after treatment.
Gratitudes: prescription arriving so quickly, a reasonably good day at work, leftover lemon meringue roulade for work lunch. X

Finally achieved another NSD. Did some good PA surveys and earned £10 today, also cashed out my balance of £50. Got a new broadband deal with current provider which is for 18 months and is £4 cheaper than current deal
Spent most of the day covering work for colleagues on leave/off sick; hoping to do my own work tomorrow!
Did exercise class on Fb, first class i've done for a month.
Booked plumber to quote for new radiator as can't bleed one as the valve thing is stuck.
Got 3 lots of washing dry on the line (nothing sad about that BadBookeeper
Gratitudes - finding a yummy pastry in the freezer; nice texts with friend this eve; support and praise from boss at PT job #1
