Evening Turtles. Forgot to post yesterday so NSD 3 and 4 for me. Was in and out all day today with work, then visiting Dad and cutting his hair, then took DS2 for a job interview collecting OH from the station on our way back. Making huge inroads into the freezer contents but unfortunately it means making 4 different dinners most nights. DD took naughty kitten out in the back garden on his harness and lead, he saw our older cat out there and managed to pull the lead out of her hand leaving DD to chase the pair of them round and round the garden. Luckily he didn’t escape as there is a fox hole right outside our back gate and he probably would have been straight down it!
Today I am grateful for finally hearing from DS1 who is fine, another lovely day and a good laugh at DD probably having more exercise than she has had in years!8 -

Busy day today, first time my entire team has been in the office so we had a full house at work but it was really nice to see everyone and have some banter. Not much else to report, was kept pretty busy with everything so no chance to spend (always a good thing) but no chance to deal with any admin frogs.
Grateful for lovely weather, a yummy homemade lunch and a hot bath.8 -
Evening
Half way through the month and halfway to target NSDs
WfH today which was good as i woke up at 3am and couldn't get back to sleepHad a cuppa tea and read; finished 2nd library book. Got up at 6am and finished a task for my self employment job. Felt really overwhelmed with work for all 4 jobs but had a nice text chat with a friend who reminded me to face work one chunk at a time. Had a virtual meeting with colleague and boss; colleague got upset but boss was good. Another colleague has tested positive so will have to cover a meeting for him which means going into the office an extra day boohoo. Stayed working till 6.30pm cos of a deadline. Then did some of PT job #2. Then read an essay for DD2's uni course. Have eaten well today and just going to have a walk then bath then bed. Hoping i sleep through tonight, 4 hours sleep is not enough !
Gratitudes - helpful colleague, nice boss (said would write me a splendid reference if i need one) and early nights zzzz

Back as promised with todays update:
Cleaned kitchen windows before work instead of going for a little walk but this gave me an ‘achieved something been meaning to do for ages’ feeling.
Work was straight forward & started to tackle a frog.
No admin to do today except a meal plan/food shopping list for Thursday and to write a birthday card ready to post.
NSD 9/16 was going to take ds to cafe but his friend called and stayed after school.
Easy tea with leftover chicken and oven chips, not the healthiest but all enjoyed with minimal effort.
Family time - ds is trying to teach me chess. DH already knows so we’re all playing.
More interference from in laws not sure how to handle it as they mean well but need to realise we are nearly 50 & have our own decisions & lives to lead.
Grateful for:

Would've been another NSD, but DH bought a pack of cherry tomatoes for tonight's tea (baked chicken tacos).
Did a longer Pilates routine before breakfast, can certainly feel it working! Made dinner for the next 3 days whilst eating my breakfast. Work mostly went ok. Went for a walk to our local library, sat in a quiet area with a pupil & perused some knitting magazines. Had another new lady shadowing me in the afternoon, she seemed nice too
Made a fire when I got home & washed up after tea. Sorted through a drawer of CDs, one to.fomate, one to sell. A quick bath, then some knitting & watching TV. Didn't achieve as much as I would've liked, due to my turn in the bath bring earlier than usual! Forgot to say yesterday that a colleague gave me some leftover cat food, toys, etc, after her elderly cat was put to sleep at the weekend, due to illness, & another colleague gave me a pair of boots which she'd bought but were too small for her
Grateful for exercises working, library trip, new boots being comfortableUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Morning turtles,
No further NSDs to report. Fridge was emptied, cleaned and restocked with lots of f & v. Today should be an nsd as I have a flask full of homemade carrot soup and a bread roll to take to work.
I had my first Spanish lesson yesterday, it was odd being on the other side, ie the student not the teacher, but I enjoyed it.Late for work today as zip on a pair of trousers broke. Would be a shame to chuck them but I have no idea how to fix it - I need you thrifty!
grateful for an easy day at work yesterday, for finding a new cafe that I like, for having more than enough.

Was a spend day. Brought some treats for a colleague and myself in work, tv mag and weekly bus pass. Yesterday I had a day off, chilled out most of the day. Received a free box of wine, a gift from a company at an event I attended last week, scanned code.
Grateful for:
Setting up DD for council tax today, will make my life a bit easier each month.
Slightly more busier in work than usual, made the day go by quickly.
Booked the rest of my leave off - 2 and a half days, for the rest of March and it was approved.

Evening turtles
Nice quiet day today, managed a bit of study for the qualification linked to my part-time job. My full-time job also has a permanent vacancy (I'm on a 12 month contract atm) so put in an application. Hoping to get it as it would give me stability but we'll see, if I don't then I still have a job there! Really like working there but I also don't want to get my hopes up just in case.
Walked into town after work to collect some muffins I ordered through the Too Good To Go app. Popped them in the freezer, it was a very good haul today!
Grateful for batch cooking making life easier, a good walk even though it was raining, a day at home.10
