NST March 2022: March movement

Evening
I hope everyone is well.
I think I need to give up on March, I have only managed 4 NSD so far and today I booked a holiday, bought lots of clothes, a par of trainers and 3 coats.
I will be back in April.

Hi turtles
Achieved another NSD, had planned to visit DD1 but not feeling well at all. Did some prep for a meeting next week for PT job#2 and got my washing dry on the line; changed my bed, cleaned the bathroom and DD2's bedroom. Had a walk and did 10k steps. Also lay on the sofa for a few hours this afternoon and fell asleep under a blanket.
Gratitudes - food in the freezer so easy meals today, DD1 taking her dog out for a walk on her own (dog scared/DD anxious) and early night in clean sheets

Evening Turtles NSD5 for me today. Went for a long walk along the seafront with OH, very windy but you could feel that the sun was warm, spring is coming. Ache everywhere after the weeding and pruning yesterday, obviously haven’t used those muscles in a while!Today I am grateful for getting some washing dry on the line outside, spending time with OH and having some spare batteries after DS2’s GF’s insulin pump ran out.7

Today it felt like a S_R_NG day, I even saw a young man walking down the road with his top off! It wasn't that warm!! Is it just me or do we normally have a week of nice weather, and then snow two weeks later? I am sure that is how it works because everyone goes out and plants their new plants in the garden in the sunshine, and then they die when they get frozen. The weather lulls us into a false sense of security and then we sow our seeds and then KER-BLAM!Gratitudes - fab charity shop haul, laundry drying on the line, escaping the family for a couple of hours.

I've tripled the amount of footwear I have. Have been wearing my mountain climbing trainers every day but have an injury on my right big toe and the seam is rubbing so not healing well. I hate shopping and shoe shopping is top of the hate list but my requirements are simple. Found some ankle boots with fleece lining on sale at £9.99 - was hoping for ones that just slip on but these are very comfy, not sure if I can wear them without tying the laces.
Also bought 3 pairs of nearly all cotton warm socks. I have recently had cold feet at night - probably my circulation so need to look at exercises for improving that. next stop was to buy a pair of next size up wellies and green 'velvet' welly boot socks/ liners. Again something I can end up wearing too often (on days when tying laces is too much effort) but larger size and the liners should make them more comfy. Then went to buy food (mostly ready meals but some things to cook). I have tried cooking this week but mostly just put things in a pot.
All very expensive but atm looking after myself is more important than what it costs and I'm spending an awful lot of time on minor injuries/ side effects and need to get ahead of the game. Having some things in should give me time to set up a proper meal plan and plan ahead (will add some easy healthy options later in the week). Various bins visited, dry washing in and a second lot put out, set up the fridge and freezer. Postponed visit to bungalow until tomorrow. S-i-l is hoping to move some stuff on Monday (her brother has 2 days off and is supposed to be getting back to her).
Put food away, came upstairs and that's it for today (really really couldn't get myself back downstairs). Earlier I put back 2 of my shelves and arranged all my jars of pulses and dried beans.
Grateful for finding the things I needed, kitchen looking better, a good book, a great film to re-watch, DS2 not shouting when he messaged me to ask about the tv and I said it might have been stolen (he was only going to take it to his dad's so he could watch the rugby). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8 -

32b3in2013, don't go! You are a turtle and turtles don't ever fail. Have a sit on the chaise longue and wave the pompoms for the rest of us for a while. Some months are like that- it's not about spending nothing at all. It's about being meaningful and doing your best.

Don't give up @32b3in2013, you may have lapsed today, but tomorrow is a new day for you to write a new story & there is still a third of the month left!
NSD#10
A lovely day, though spoiled by the strong odour of muck spreading 😓 so no washing could be hung outside. Got up at the usual time, washed the dishes after breakfast, wrote a letter to go in a birthday card, then walked with hubby to the village to post it & an eboy sale, using my free stamps. After dinner (which I ate whilst reading my book), I hoovered the car out - been meaning to do it for a looong time -, then cut out more pieces to make bunting to go with a book for Mother's Day. Decided to sort all my crates of fabric into colours, so now easier to find when making more chickens, etc. Put 5 pieces of fabric in a bag to donate to CS. Did the ironing & have just finished the first sleeve of my jumper whilst decluttering a film off the box.
Grateful for a nice day, a clean car & sorting my fabric outUse it up, wear it out

Sorry I haven't been around much during March. Seem to have had a bit of a mental slump. My get up and go has got up and gone!
Firsview - Hallelujah for spare batteries, especially in a medical emergency!
Abundant1972 - How are things? Hope you are ok.
Took mum shopping today. Didn't need much so it was more for a look round. She got her little grandson a like-new dinosaur t-shirt for 50p from the CS so was very pleased. Recently she's got him several nice things from this town.
Came home and made a Bailey's cheesecake for tomorrow. It's a delicious recipe but unfortunately involves using every bowl and utensil i own! I'll take some over for my sister as she's recovering from her neck operation and this will cheer her up.
OH has treated one fence panel using his fence sprayer. Unfortunately he got carried away when washing it out afterwards and the tiny spray nozzle got fired across the garden, never to be seen again. New nozzle ordered today along with electric sprayer so a spendy day (luckily from his account).
Been invited out by friend Wednesday night for pub tea and again on Saturday by neighbours for feeding their cats while they had a week away. OH also asked if I'd like to go away for 3-4 days to seaside so was thrilled. Just need to book somewhere now.
Gratitudes:sunshine and bright blue sky, time pottering about with my mum, OH suggesting short break and cheesecake turning out ok.
As Shrewbie and Beanielou said it's the small things. X
