Feeling a bit low today and that I’m on the receiving end of other people’s frustrations. But that could be my mind’s take on things.I’m a bit anxious about bills going up and have made some changes to our budget. I think I’ll need to adjust it again at the end of this month once I see the full impact of price rises. The news and updates about Ukrainian families make me so sad. I made a £ donation to the DEC today but it felt insignificant.Mum’s also away to Australia for 6 weeks and I’m missing her already. Could be part of the reason for my down day.I’m going to go to bed now to see if I can sleep this off.Grateful today for having a roof over my head, food in my fridge, and having my family by my side.

Today I turned down a paid job, the person offering it is the most work-shy, laziest wretch I have ever had the misfortune to work with, the look on his face was priceless. He does not realise I have probably just saved his life.Gratitudes- 4 perfectly ripe ys avocados made the most gorgeous guacamole to go with my chilli & wraps for supper3 long black T Shirts and 1pair of black combat trousers (all 50p each) in the c/sScored a Herr Leedl F&V box -3 boxes of mushrooms, lemons, a lime, 2 plums, an aubergine, handful of carrots, a pomegranate, 2 apples, 5 bananas, cherry tomatoes (£1.50)Not having to sit in the massive queue for petrol that backed up onto the roundabout cos clever-chops me filled up the tank already.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Evening Turtles. No NSD for me today as Mr T delivered my shopping, under budget though. Feel like carp today as awoke at 3am and couldn’t get back to sleep. Unlike Mothernerd I didn’t get up and do something productive, just laid there feeling angry and then got up at 7 and went to work. Eek to the petrol queues Foxholes, none here but they did say on the news earlier that the south east had the most expensive fuel in the country so maybe no one can afford it!Today I am grateful for having filled my tank last week, OH putting all the shopping away while I crashed on the sofa (probably in the wrong places, but I will deal with that another time) and lovely weather.10

Today I am grateful that dc talks to me so I'm up to date on their life, for ending the working week feeling more in control of data than at the start, for leftovers for tea, for 2 meetings being rolled into 1 tomorrow, for the waft of blooming hyacinths as I leave/approach the house. And where am I with all the prodding and poking to shift my mindset and move out of the quagmire, eh?Work is ever up and down but I've said how many days I'd like to do next year and it's now out of my hands.Family- stepdd1 will be over from Canada next month and on the IOW so we'll catch up with her. Many changes going on for dc, so meetings at school will be the norm pretty soon. We're learning so much.House- dh talked about a new stair carpet in response to me talking about replacing the back double glazing 😆. So hopefully something will happen... The car passed its MOT but needs work so we'll get that done asap.Garden- this is my domains and I've been too lazy to do stuff. I aim to dig up a pesky alder that wants to move in, keep on top of weeding.Life admin- sigh.Happiness, mental health, emotional health, spiritual health- all these overlap a lot for me. I'm working on keeping my own happiness as little dependent on how dc is as poss. It's tough, though!Physical health- yes, I do a good amount of exercise but I also overeat daily. I hope that with stepdd1 coming over, I'll be motivated to control my intake a bit better...Finances- had some good chats with dh, esp regarding gas, leccy and petrol.Savings- no goal here, so little done.Hobbies- I have not crafted anything beyond sewing together a few parts of eyes for far too long. I need to get back to it as it satisfies.Possessions. Still got waaaaaay too much.Food. Yum!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!10

Wow Mothernerd, you are so organised. XXXX
I am here. I have got through work. Decided that I am not sleeping enough to do a good job. Also the house is so hot it is making me ill and stressed about bills.
I am grateful for the work friends, my guinea pigs, my realising what I am doing wrong at work.
I need to go bed now but have just made Mum a cup of tea. but am hopeful for an early night.
Nevertheless she persisted.10 -
Evening
hugs ldee hope you feel better after a good sleep
mothernerd hugs to you too, hope you enjoy being back in your house , you have achieved loads
apple - good reminder to look back at the start of the challenge. My happiness is very much dependent on how my DDs are feeling so i totally get how you feel - hugs to you too. DD2 text last night to say she was very stressed so i didn't sleep muchAt the start of March i said:
house - too much clutter - yep still too much ! No progress but my house is tidy (hosting book group tomorrow, no coincidence of course
physical health- not done exercise classes the past fortnight due to being too busy with all my jobs but i have managed around 8k steps each day, i haven't been on my bike - yet ......
Life admin - i need to make a decision on my pension and also need to call HMRC nope
Money - I have made donations to charity and put money in DD2's uni support fund and my mortgage OP fund.
Doing quite well with NSDs and eating from supplies. Today I have spent as i needed milk so also stocked up on baked beans and some vegan bars for DD2, i had £1.25 off at the c00p; i'm trying to use my reward vouchers every week as i shop there regularly and like their sourdough breadFun - I've been to the theatre which was fab and met up with 2 different friends for walks which was lovely.
Gratitudes - tackling a frog for one of my PT jobs; nice walk in the sunshine at lunch with lots of friendly people en route; tea with DD1 (even if she complained so much about the cold that i put the heating on for 1 hour!)
love Deni

A spendy day today. Wanted to order some natural deodorant, but after doing some research, discovered it was cheaper to buy from H&B rather than directly from producer, plus I could get cashback & 15% off my order & free p&p! So very happy 😃
Took DS2 for his hospital appointment, then dropped him home & headed to work. Met a new member of staff, she seems nice & easy to chat to. Had a good afternoon. Quick dash to town to get my haircut, then took mum shopping, so we don't have to go tomorrow night. Managed to use my free £10, £2 & cake vouchers. Feeling very tired.
Grateful for DS getting clear info re: the next steps in his treatment plan, feeling pampered whilst getting my hair cut, free cakeUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Evening everyone,
Couldn’t park the car again for a while in work, really sets the day off grumpily!
Trying to be healthy but keep finding chocolate treats left on my desk!
NSD 5/16
Completed remortgage application online, worried I’d did something wrong, called company to check something they kept me on hold for 17 minutes then cut me off!! There’s a reason no one keeps on top of these things!!
Had an email from energy company to advise new rates. They’ll be basing it on last years but we’ve turned the hot tub off so need to tell them to see if that will bring it down - more life admin!
Email from council tax to say that’s going up by £6 a month. I’m waiting to see if I get a pay rise before recalculating everything - hope I get something and it’s a stretchy one! I’m currently overpaying my cc debt so I can reduce those payments to cover things if I have to but I also want to achieve my DFD!Grateful for:
Chocolate on my desk
1 step forward with mortgage (might be 2 steps back tomorrow)!
