There is a cat near us called Phoebe, who steals socks and knickers from neighbours with cat flaps in the night - the owner posts pictures and returns them, no questions asked. This summer she also had to return a flip flop, 2 sandals - not matching- , and a skipping rope.Phoebe is unrepentant. The owner is mortified.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today I am grateful for now having 3 fat yellow croci in the garden, for 85% chocolate, for the new seating arrangement making the y11s happier, for dc going to dance tonight, for an evening walk.

Thanks @beanielou @apple_muncher there are a few options, I made an appointment with a consultant so I guess we'll see... with everything going up in price I don't feel it's very MSE
Other than stressing unnecessarily about the above, I've had a really good couple of days at work. Really enjoying it so far, and am very impressed by the whole setup. The commute has been fine and I've worked out when to travel to spend the least. They only expect me in as needed so don't need to shell out for a season ticket.
Sticking to a weekly budget and not counting spend days is working so far. Just need to make sure I stick to it.12 -
I agree with others @lcc86. If the treatment can ease your pain then it is certainly something to consider.
NSD 2/15 for me today. I forgot to take my lunch to work with me, but a colleague bought me lunch unexpectedly.
Grateful for a colleagues generosity, for the bus stop being so close to my office building and for left over spag Bol.

Spent money today, £6 on a bus ticket and £13+ including £.60 on carrier bags. Had looked at buying boxes but they were about £2.50 each for the cheapest and decide to buy carrier bags for transporting stuff to the cs - they will reuse them for customers. Went to get blood paperwork for tomorrow and returned two pairs of hearing aids and a pile of unused batteries to audiology.
Got off in the town centre and went to buy strong carrier bags. Went to next bus stop and did my exercise for the day - large shop was blasting music so I sang along and did little dance moves whilst sitting on my walker. Was really tired by the time I got home. Lodger came to pay his rent and we sat chatting for a while. Handed over the pictures of his daughter (she has 2 of her own now) and got him to look through the cupboards - took about a dozen tins, 3 packs of cheese and some crackers.
Ate lunch with my feet up and niece and her bf came early afternoon. Niece had brought her pinsentry device so I tried once more to access my bank account. No joy so they added battery purchase to the list of things to do in town. Took 4 dozen cans (mainly soup) to one of the shops that supports homeless people. Very well received and I had asked them to ask what furniture donations they took and whether they can collect - yes to everything and niece has their phone number. Yes I am nearly ready to start having furniture collected.
I'd bagged up some items before they arrived so they also took 4 throws, and some kitchen stuff and ornaments. Did a second run - set out a 4.30 pm so directed them to cs which stay open later. Bf is taking a duvet cover and 2 sets of pillowcases as he's currently using the niece's (he's recently moved into accommodation in the pub he works in). We decided which kitchen items they wanted and the rest were packed for the cs. Also rounded the remaining ornaments from the mantlepiece, bedroom and sideboard.
No joy with the new batteries either (or at least no visible display). Something may have got through because the system relented and let me use one of the other methods for gaining access so have written down all the phone top ups and other expenses (wouldn't go further back than 4th January and my Carer's Allowance seems to have stopped on the 10th (need to go back and check because I only noticed when I was exiting.
Space on the worktops to empty the baking cupboard, icing accoutrements, chocolate moulds, essences and food colouring pastes. Decided they will be taken away and shared between my nieces, their mother and bf's mum (who has most knowledge and experience) with any leftovers going to the cs. I had already asked beloved to come and look at it, but she hasn't and if we are going to get my much needed new kitchen soon, the less kitchen stuff we have the better.
Niece and bf packed a bag each with the stuff they have set aside and filled some bags with tins for the first run tomorrow (in case they arrive whilst I still at the infirmary) and the second run will be taking various electrical items to the Hospice shop. I'm going to bring my trolley back and we've discussed strategy for moving my garden tubs back to mine. Friend of bf has access to a super dolly truck (base the size of a small pallet). Niece's mum has volunteered to help one morning next week - she doesn't know it yet but she and her car are on transportation duty (niece is still having real problems driving which is why my brother has her car) and will also be given the items which have been set aside for the younger niece who lives with her.
Moved the last few things from my fridge freezer into the kitchen, turned mine off and left the doors open.
I have started packing my own things but wondering what state of (complete un-) readiness my own house is in. Had a phone call from one of the people I was unable to contact before the funeral (received a card the day before but didn't know how they had heard the news). Her mother (mum's cousin) is in hospital with a hip injury and after years of ignoring her daughter, now wants her to move in and look after her. Another long chat with someone I haven't seen in years (promised to send her a photo of us posing in front of a jaguar Mark 2).
Grateful for help from the niece and her bf, excellent progress, defrosting the fridge-freezer in readiness for moving it, helpful receptionists, good food (defrosted berries for tomorrow and a cheesecake). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage10 -
Evening
Achieved my first NSD today. Got washing dry on the line and had a nice walk in the sunshine at lunch; achieved 10k steps.
Have done a few PA and Swag$ surveys.
DD1's bestie came round for tea, she lives on her own and her family live miles away, we are both mostly on our own so it was lovely to have company for tea.
Gratitudes - DD1 out of isolation; DD2 having a good day at work; DD1's bestie bringing me flowers; good training session at work; relaxed evening & good company

Love Phoebe's antics! 😂
Had to get organised early this morning, as DS2 had a dr's appointment, so no time to exercise before work. A good day at work, despite getting soaked during the daily mile. Had to buy milk on the way home & also got some ys eggs & choc for mum's birthday. Had a nap, then wrapped mum's presents, put money into sinking funds, wrote shopping list for big shop & did the ironing.
Grateful for pupil making me laugh, my first taste of jonuts (j4ff4 c4ake donuts), good programmes on TV, time available at the garage next week to fit my car in for mot, when I wanted it doing, colleagues wanting to do a sponsored walk to raise money for the charity I'm suppoetingUse it up, wear it out
