Good Morning ⛅
Well after an amazing day yesterday I feel really flat today... maybe I overdid things. 13:00 and still not up, dressed or showered. After this am going to quickly chuck some clothes on and go for a walk to get my steps in, and at least do 15 minutes of mindfulness. I'll hopefully feel better for hitting some of my daily goals after that. Off to see family later on which will cheer me up I'm sure.
Today I am grateful for:
1) Having a week off to unwind and go easy on myself
2) Having cleaned and food-prepped yesterday as at least feel I'm on top of things
3) My health, mobility and for having a home
Today = NSD number 1

Sending you more gentle hugs green-t. I am so glad it is treatable and wishing you the speediest recovery possible.
NSD 2.
Meditation, morning pages, language practice done.
Made a juice for some of my 5 a day. Noses were held and brown sludge poured down mine and bf’s respective gullets. Will look at getting a proper juicer as my blender is rubbish and you end up trying to swallow lumpy bits of half-mangled carrots.
Cycled for 30 mins on the static bike.
Had a little 5 minute sunbathe outside as it was warm today.
Rounded up three pairs of old shoes to be taken to the recycling point.
Didn’t get any time to read but will try to do so before bed.
I am grateful for freshly ground coffee, for not feeling too tired today, for having enough!

NSD 1 for me today. Stupid foot still injured so no exercise but I did get round to hoovering the car which seemed to be full of bits of tree. Today I am grateful for another lovely sunny day, my new kitchen flooring finally turning up (only took a month!) OH getting temporary promotion at work with a significant pay rise and managing to brake in time to avoid running over a lovely little puppy which leapt out of its owners boot straight under my wheels!11

Today I am grateful for surviving the day, for dc having a fair day, for easy travel, for dh prepping tea, for some leather gloves for dc arriving that finally fit.

Hi turtles
Just checking in with the challenges
FIVE minutes a day on clearing some clutter or tidying up. Yes, will tidy the kitchen every evening before bed
FIVE fruit and veg a day. Minimum. I am veggie so this should be easy! Not always so good on the veg but do eat lots of salad.
FIVE minutes of outside time. Daily. Definitely
FIVE minutes of moving every day.Aiming for 10k steps a day
FIVE gratitudes each day. ok !
FIVE minutes in the morning (or last thing at night) to plan the day ahead. Will try to plan each morning .
FIVE things every day that you enjoy. will try - does 5 cups of tea count?!
FIVE consistent good habits that you can do all month. Tidying the kitchen each night, making my bed every morning, skin care regime every eve; painting nails, read every night before bed
FIVE books read throughout the month. Love reading but struggle for time, will try
FIVE items to leave the house (you can choose 5 each day, 5 each week, 5 bagfuls...) over the month. Yes, 5 a week so 20 in total at least to be delivered to the CS
FIVE frogs to be swallowed over the month. will have to think about this...
FIVE things that take you out of your comfort zone. ditto!
FIVE donations to charity if you can. Already have regular donations so will count up how many, probably 3 at least but will make it 5
And FIVE non-negotiables:
-pay to your debt/savings FIRST and live off the rest.
-NSDs – 15 please. You keep it if you ONLY buy yellow sticker items, fuel/travel, medical items, or are paying for randomly-needed-but-planned-for-costs (eg kiddie activities, milkmen, window cleaners…)
-set your budgets and note all spends. That way you can see what went well and where you can tweak things next month.
-plan the month: anyone attached to education will know half term falls this month, so think ahead and plan accordingly.
-go out on 2 outings and splash out £5 on yourself at some point.
No debt now and have put some money to savings for mortgage OP. Have done a budget and am tracking spends. I am visiting DD2 next week and have a theatre trip with DDs and friends (tickets paid for as this was my sprouts day gift to them)
Have spent today and yesterday; did a big food shop and also bought a warm coat in the sale.
I have eaten lots of salad and veg and an apple today. Done 12k steps. Been in work so heating has only been on for an hour this eve. Going to sit in bed with hot water bottle and read before getting to sleep early
Grateful for being able to finish work early to call at retail park on the way home, word game that keeps me in daily touch with a friend, good meeting at work, DD2 sorting out medical issues on her own, DD1 almost out of isolation
Love Deni

A spend free day (No 1). Ate coleslaw with added grated carrot, a bit of pasta salad, boiled egg, tomatoes, curried rice, a whole green pepper, a small red onion, thinly sliced, chestnut mushrooms and blueberries.
Niece and her bf came just after lunch. We went through lots of stuff and put things she had already decided to take all in one place. Went through the candles and tealights, spills, she picked one wax melt burner (all the rest were wrapped in kitchen roll and bagged for the charity shop). Brother wanted photos of him and mum so had pulled a lot out of the pile for him. Younger niece who wants 'heirlooms' rejected mum's doll, my grandma's pillowcases and an embroidered tablecloth (by phone) but niece and bf had 5 heavy bags to take to the cs.
Had mostly cleared mum's bed by then so asked my niece to help me put the woolen quilt and mattress cover on the bed. Looked at the garden ornaments and niece picked the fox, a mole, two otters, a dog, a leprechaun and a bird. They went to the cs (niece had a rescheduled dentist appointment). They came back fairly late but we've had a look at basic kitchen equipment and cake tins (bf said she could take the springform set), two cooling racks and the little flat hooks holding them over the cupboard door, she will think about the rest overnight and make some decisions tomorrow.
They are going to take one set of ladders (had to borrow her grandad's earlier in the year and then he got in a panic as he needed to sort stuff before his wife came out of hospital) and the other things they've picked are hidden in a cupboard (which they are also going to take). Whilst they were out I folded up the two wool things and bound them with gorilla tape (I cut all the edgings off the mattress cover as it's hard work using it for that). I've filled one suitcase with most of my 'better' clothes (only need 3 sets of basic clothes to keep me going).
They're coming back tomorrow, hoping to do two cs runs and then take another lot home with them. I may go out in the morning early on to do an extra run (maybe bring the trolley back with me). Want to start moving planters back to mine soon. Black bin was emptied and have bagged up some rubbish and the broken polytunnel cover (it caught my ankle last week and I nearly fell, so bundled it up and put it behind the bin until it had been emptied).
Grateful for niece and bf coming to help (my back is sighing with relief), getting through lots of stuff (talked her into taking some of the heavy garden pots later on - will be too heavy for me), starting to look as though I am on top of things (just need to make more progress on paperwork), lovely food, DS1 being back home (he was hospitalised overnight, they think he may have one or more blood clots on/ in his lungs), a good film.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage10 -
Good evening
today has dragged, but nearly done now.
I decided to hold a little family get together for my niece’s birthday so spent more than I planned today. She enjoyed it though so all good.
All the rings on my watch closed so more than 5 minutes of moving.
I am going to the office tomorrow for the first time this year, so that will be a test of my will power to not spend as I work near LOTS of shops. I still don’t need anything so I may be ok. I am going to take lunch and snacks with me so I don’t need to go in shops which charge tourist prices.
today I am grateful for a job which allows me the flexibility to finish early when needed, for spag bol, for reliable Wi-Fi and for chocolate icy cups.
happy Thursday when it arrives

Hope DS1 is ok @mothernerd.
A small spend today on our local paper - me & mum buy it week about, had a coupon off her TV mag & the cashier scanned her mag twice, so made mine 5p cheaper too lol.
Got up earlier & completed an exercise routine before breakfast. Work went better than expected, had a meeting afterwards, then spent the evening doing 2 sewing jobs too. Heading to bed shortly to read some more of my book.
Grateful for a spring like day (though very cold), a good day at work, more donations made, feeling content with my lot, our cat laying in a funny positionUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Grateful for OH and I getting first negative tests (hopefully another today), for us all having mild covid symptoms (my best gf is currently really unwell with it), for Mum lending me her suitcases, for vaccines, for living in the UK, and for the NHS.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸12
