Hi can i please join.
Ds2 came home early, so thats my NSD day gone, had to go to l1dls on the way home from the train for chicken and tuna! I'm in bed, I need to just sit and work for an hour and then just get up early again tomorrow, to finish.
Grateful for ds2 coming home, for ds1 finally getting in touch with headway tomorrow, for my old bike still hanging in there, for my bed, and for having the money for food and for a train ticket for ds2.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Just remember, dear turtles, that that great big long list of FIVEs is not something to beat yourself up about if you can't do it all. Wear a smug face for the ones you can do easily and go for progress in the ones that are tougher for you. It is not a competition or a race. It is more like musical chairs, fighting over who gets to sit on the naughty chaise longue some months...😎And mothernerd has first dibs on it every day in Feb.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!10

Thanks for this month's challenge @apple_muncher. Count me in!
I've made a good start, got up earlier & did half of a beginners aerobics workout. Thighs feel like jelly now!! Probably would've struggled through the other half too, if I didn't have to remind teenagers every 5 mins to get up & do LFTs!Use it up, wear it out

For February:
FIVE minutes a day on clearing some clutter or tidying up - will do at least this!
FIVE fruit and veg a day - I'm fairly good at this.
FIVE minutes of outside time - can't wait to get back out into the garden!
FIVE minutes of moving every day - I will aim to do more than this.
FIVE gratitudes each day - will do
FIVE minutes in the morning (or last thing at night) to plan the day ahead - will do.
FIVE things every day that you enjoy - will think about this, I enjoy most things, so am not hard to please!
FIVE consistent good habits that you can do all month - I 'sort of' did Dry January. I did have a couple of glasses of wine at the beginning of the month, but have mainly stuck to it, and will continue with it. I am not a big drinker by any means, but like something in a nice glass when I am cooking dinner each evening. However, orange juice does just as well as anything else! I will have to think of some others, but I am pretty boring and don't have many vices
FIVE books read throughout the month - I should manage this no problem.
FIVE items to leave the house (you can choose 5 each day, 5 each week, 5 bagfuls...) over the month - I'll pick 5 per week. Decluttering is a constant thing for me, as I would find it a bit overwhelming these days to do it all in one go.
FIVE frogs to be swallowed over the month - will think about this. I sorted a few frogs last month, but I am sure more will raise their ugly little heads!
FIVE things that take you out of your comfort zone - I will think about this. Most of my working life was spent out of my comfort zone
But I am now retired, and do get a bit complacent.
FIVE donations to charity if you can - I donate weekly to the local food bank, and will do an additional cash donation to a different charity.
And FIVE non-negotiables:
-pay to your debt/savings FIRST and live off the rest - no debt these days, and I am lucky enough to be able to save regularly.
-NSDs – 15 please - will try to do this.
-set your budgets and note all spends - already do this.
-plan the month - will do.
-go out on 2 outings and splash out £5 on yourself at some point - will think about this.

Morning Turtles! February already, and another lovely apple-challenge.Overpaid the mortgage, parked my car in a way that will help out a neighbour waiting on a skip delivery, spent 35 minutes folding laundry (yawn!!) but now it is done, so the laundry pile is gone, the kitchen table is clear, and that counts as tidying up in my book. Happy Tuesday!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
