Morning turtles
hugs ditty hope you have a restful day today.
Achieved another NSD yesterday. Had to go into work. Called at a friends on the way to drop off card and present for her significant birthday todayHope her plans are not impacted by the weather, just windy and rainy here at the mo. Stopped off at retail outlet to return yet another coat which doesn't fit properly. Giving up on buying winter coats now and will try again next season! Work was good and it was nice to see my boss in person for the first time this year. Got home at 9.15pm so just watched TV in bed and fell asleep during QT!
Had to be up and looking presentable for a virtual meeting at 9am this morning. Afterwards i made a veggie breakfast which was lovely, still eating from stores. Will have to spend today as need cat food.
DD2 rang me yesterday as she is in a red warning area and was nervous; she decided to go to her Boyfriend's last night. She was supposed to be working today but lots of businesses, schools etc are shut so shouldn't be a problem. Glad she is not on her own.
Hope everyone keeps warm and safe

Greetings from the red zone Turtles! Managed to avoid any real damage here apart from a broken bench and dented chiminea. Saw a few fences and walls down on my way back from work and only one road closure.
Had to go to Tesco (again, sorry!) to get the items that Mr T said they didn’t have when they delivered my shopping yesterday, so no NSD but all budgeted for.
Today I am grateful for staying safe, a visit to Dad and loving the curling!8 -
Evening turtles! Also in the red zone here, we've lost several fences today (had to chase one down the road to get it back!), and some cables from the roof. No point attempting to reattach anything until the weekend is over as I think we're due round 2 at some point.
Productive day at work today. Could do with some more work. Finally sorted my pay issue with my old employer and have set up a repayment plan. Will probably try and work extra to make sure I pay it off quicker. Am there all weekend so that will help!
Achieved quite a lot today as I'm barely home this weekend. Preordered next week's train tickets. Cancelled today's one late last night and got a refund - was a good idea as when I woke up there were no trains at all. Also got a delay repay refund of a grand total of £1.70! Woohoo! Paid for some physio sessions up front, I got a 10% discount but goodness me it's painful to pay in one go.8 -
Took a taxi to my quadruple appointment, arrived early but had scooped up random bits of paper and sat entering the info into this year's diary (lots of stuff I probably won't need after this year). Need to start eating properly or may end up on insulin. Nurse asked what had happened in the last 3 months to make the numbers go up - so I told her. Going to do bloods again in 3 months and then decide on changes in medication.
Took the little bus back to the town centre - headed for the GPO. Been dreading this but there was no-one in there - I had two assistants fighting over who got to serve me. Paid mum's water bill and sent off another package of photos (also put together whilst waiting for my appointment). Couldn't do the tax one - had to be my own bank or the tax account's bank.
Picked up sandwich and drink for lunch, then went to the bank. Paid the tax bill, paid a cheque into my account, dropped off the sixth pair of glasses for the charity box, opened my front door and put the food and paperwork inside. Went to the library and returned 3 books, picked 10 new ones (one brought back with me the others left at my house). Ate lunch.
Moved a lightweight filing cabinet into the space next to the chinchilla cage, put the sand, pellets, hay in the drawers, large tub of food on top. Shuffled a few things and freed up 3 more cubes on the cube shelves. Took some things up to my room. Filled two boxes on the cube shelves. Moved a chest of drawers into the space with the small shelves, put small shelves on top. Books away on shelves (want to take 3 more boxes this weekend).
Went to the bus station, got the little bus all the way to Morries - now have decaff coke, yoghurts for breakfast, assorted salads. Bus didn't come (think one was missing, as had a very long wait at the infirmary). After a while I decided to walk back to the bungalow. It was trying to rain again and I thought if I waited another half hour I'd get cold and then when I got off the bus I still had 2 streets to walk and rain would definitely be back by then.
Had a phone call from brother's ex-wife - she's going to come on Tuesday and we will see how many of the large pots we can move back to my house in her little car with the back seats down. I said I had plastic sheets to keep the car clean but apparently any extra mud will just blend in with the rest. Niece and her bf are hopefully coming back next Thursday.
Grateful for help (let's hope it all arrives this week), food, getting lots ticked off my list, being warm (feet are tucked under the quilt because they were quite cold), films. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage9 -

Sending hugs to all who need it.
Woke at stupid o'clock yet again, & only catnapped after that, so my eyes could do with some matchsticks to hold them open now!
Work went ok, confided in a couple of colleagues about a devastating event which happened 4.5 years ago. They were very supportive & can now understand why things have been difficult for my family. Felt good to tell them & know it won't go any further.
Dropped completed sewing off in town afterwards & picked up another 3 lots, I'm going to be busy!! Took mum shopping, had a job trying to find Bu1mers cider, wanted to buy a bottle for a friend's birthday, but had to settle for an alternative brand, as no joy. Put all the shopping away after tea, then started knitting a sleeve for my jumper, whilst watching a new series on TV.
Grateful for it being the weekend, the promise of a lie in tomorrow, woowoo's (haven't had one for ages!), great friends, starting my sleeveUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Shrewbie - I used to get very nervous when public speaking. Then my favorite comedian told the audience that he always had butterflies before coming out on stage. Made me feel better about mine. I can now give a talk on a variety of subjects to any sized group with just a few butterflies - used to give twenty or more talks a year to various groups for over 45 years. Many of the groups had me come back every year and it did help to make it easier as you got to know the people in the audience.10
