Mothernerd, take care. It sounds like you're not amongst those who've been evacuated due to weather.

Morning
Today the wind woke me up from a weird dream where i was at a second hand sale with a woman who was a combination of someone i worked with at my previous job and someone from my PT job who died last year - very strange!
Lots of trees down blocking local roads and I'm glad i decided to (& am able to) WfH today.
Had a frustrating day yesterday, started lots of tidying and decluttering jobs which i didn't finish - the only things i did finish were a donut and HM cake, oops. Did manage 10k steps yesterday although only had a very quick walk outside doing a round trip to the c00p. DD1 and her bestie came for tea which scuppered my planned NSD as i had to buy in some supplies to make their fave tea; I also used up all the pasta which has messed up my meal plan for today. It was lovely to spend the evening with them though! I made myself a veg curry from a new recipe which involved grating loads of veg - not sure the end result was worth getting RSI from the extreme grating but i do have leftovers for today
Hope everyone keeps safe
love Deni

Quiet day today which is just what the doctor ordered. Wind has blown a few more fence panels down but they're not damaged so will pop back in once things calm down. Did some yoga this morning and went for a windy walk at lunchtime. Was surprisingly nice. Not much else to report today. Checked my finances for the remainder of the month as I get paid from my part-time job tomorrow so will want to finalise March budget.

Evening
achieved another NSD. Had a quiet day WfH, lots of people on leave including bossHad a couple of nice catch ups with colleagues. Logged off early to meet with colleague at PT job, had a useful catch up. Did exercise class on Fb. Had leftover veg curry for lunch and toast for tea. Eaten my 5 a day. Not managed 10k steps, too cold, windy and rainy.
Gratitudes - lovely phone chat with DD2, DD1 sending a cute pic of her and the dog, helpful colleague at PT job, tidy house (rarity) and early night
love Deni

Today I am grateful that it wasn't raining when I was travelling, for a calm day at work, for being able to keep moving because the boiler was broken so we had no heat until about 3pm when it started to trickle through the system, for dc loving the youth group, for my hm flapjack.Mothernerd, I can't recall if you'd offered to run March. But it does sound like you are swamped at the mo, so shall I set it up? Of course any other turtle can run it if they so wish...????!!!!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!7

Good Morning ⛅☔
Will the rain ever stop?!?! Officially fed up with British weather 😤 I have these new long weekends since I changed my work shift pattern and so far every time it's been pants outside. I've done zip! On the plus - it has been restful, full on duvet days mostly. Not been out the house the last 2 days, no sunlight, no mindfulness, no check-ins, no gym. I've not only fallen off the bandwagon - it has run over me, then reversed to make sure it hit me good and proper.
Anyway... after 2 month's of hardcore budgeting haha I have decided it's not sustainable without my sanity going down the plughole. So have knocked £100 off debt repayment/month (from £350 to £250) which pushes my DFD back from May 2023 to Oct 2023 - but will mean I have a bit of spending money - as opposed to £80 flat for groceries and spends. Of course - if I have any spare left each week - I'll try and save it until I can make a full £250 payment, and so knock another month off the old debt mountain.
So after my budget re-shuffle today, I cleared my lowest credit card fully (£193), and paid £100 off my last remaining card - leaving a balance of £5000. I'll start from March on my new £250 per month debt-repayment plan.
Have now eaten all the frozen meals I prepped, but have stuff in my fridge I can bake (my free burgers, sausages) as well as staples in my cupboard like bread, milk, rice and about 3 bags of Huel Hot & Savoury which will get me to next month easy-peasy. Pay day on Friday whoop!!!
After typing up this I am going to shower and get dressed (how novel!) and then do my 15 minutes of mindfulness and go to the gym and get my steps in. I will get to bed on time tonight. Then I will be back on track for today at least! I can't change the last few days/week, but that is done. Behind me. No point beating myself up. I'm a movin' on up!!!
Apple - can I pass on helping with the forum thread next month. I will definitely do one this year though 😊
Today I am grateful for:
1) How budget reviews always lift my mood!
2) Food left in my fridge to sustain me for the rest of the month.
3) A spark of motivation having returned.
