That’s awesome weenancyinAmerica I guess the butterflies can be useful!!
I may have to deliver a seminar some point next year and I think it would be good to put myself forward for it (which should get me brownie points for a future pay rise) and also to plan for it rather than have it forced upon me when I’m not ready.
Hugs to Ditty!
Have just updated my spends. I used my food budget already for the month but actually I don’t think we need any more food for next week, perhaps only a small amount of f&v, so that should work out.
My “fun” budget also seems accurate. Although I haven’t included unplanned spends of €70 for a couple of concert tickets for the summer, this is accounted for in the budget as I’ve added a separate line for hols/presents/contingency. I am however having some photos taken at work on Monday and the classic line, I have “nothing” to wear. Will try to go through my wardrobe first before resorting to the shops, and if I do, it will be the charity shop down the road.
I believe I am on NSD 7. I didn’t buy any work lunches last week so very happy with that. Also managed to bake these quinoa bite things on Sunday to take to work which were actually quite nice (i usually detest quinoa). Will try to do the same tomorrow. Exercised 4 out of 5 work days. Tomorrow going to a village near Madrid so should do a fair bit of walking.
I am grateful for freshly ground coffee on a lazy saturday, for having the motivation to meal plan and eat well, for my job which is challenging me.
Have a wonderful weekend turtles.

Evening turtles
I've had a spendy day as i bought a small bookcase off Fb, been looking for one for months so i can organise my spare bedroom a bit better. Also dropped off a big bag of stuff at the CS and recycled old ink cartridges and soft plastics at t0sc0. Did a food shop, cat food seems to have gone up in price again! Bought own brand dry food in the hopes they will like that - they are fussy with the wet food options so i just stick to the one i know they like even thought it's 50p a box more expensive than last year eek!
Gratitudes - having a productive day; having a chilled eve with catch up TV; DD2 being able to get away for the night with her boyfr for his birthday treat; helpful neighbour offering to sort damanged fence panel; finding new recipes to try

Hi excited I had a good day w ds1 we went to an open day for the post grad qual he is applying to do in september and for a test ride on my friends turbo bike set up. Ds1's turbo is now in the post. What is better than friends with passions they are happy to share. Super very grateful for that. There's a swifty app where you ride with others, and the exercise is real. Good Evening 🌖
Congratulations Apple on the new 👶🏻!!!
f0xh0les - ok scoff two and your'e good with your FIVE haha.
Can I eat FIVE M&Ms, FIVE fruit gums, and FIVE liquorice allsorts and count them as my goals haha!?!
Had a rough few days... barely any sleep Thursday evening and was just about functioning at work yesterday. Kept forgetting things then dropped my lunch everywhere and spent the next 30 minutes trying to clean it up at work... it was up the walls, all over the walls and doors... I don't know how one little pot made so much mess. On the plus it saved me 500 calories haha. Was meant to go out but high winds and rain meant I bought chocolate, sweets and stayed in with TV - and an early night. Woke at 10am this morning!!!
Today has been a lazy day. More grey and rain - but the the 🌞 broke through the clouds and so I forced myself out for a walk to get some much needed steps and sunlight exposure! Lazy evening now and probably another early night.
Today I am grateful for:
1) Some sunshine after day on day of rain, wind and gloom
2) As always, my walk around the park which I love. Nature's medicine
3) For old friends I miss
Yesterday was a spend day
Today = NSD number 10

Finally another NSD! On to #9 I think.
I've had a fantastic day 😃 Awoke to a lighter morning, which made me think it was a lot later than it actually was! A sprinkling of snow outside, so that must've helped it seem brighter. Put the shopping bags, cat litter, outside in the shed, then gathered all the things for a friend's birthday present & popped them into a recycled present bag. Went for a 7 mile walk with hubby, & dropped the present off en route. Ate leftover calzones for dinner & read my book while I rested. DS3 returned from a sleepover, & wanted dropping at a new friend's in the next village for another sleepover. Moved the sacks of coal & emptied it into the bunker, then did some filing in our bedroom. Have spent the evening knitting & watching TV.
Grateful for birdsong, a frosty morning, knitting, a warm fire, DS telling me he loves me 💞Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!

Congratulations @apple_muncher on the safe arrival of GS3! Get saving for a trip to Oz!
Thanks for your best wishes for my sister's op on Monday, @Thrifty_Taylor and @abundant1972.
Trying to keep mum busy as she's obviously worrying a lot about my sister. Loaded the car with all the cardboard/bits and pieces to go to the tip as mum hasn't been able to get into the shed with everything wedged behind the door. Could have picked a better day weatherwise but just decided to book a slot and go for it. Really pleased to get it done. Had a quick look in tip charity shop and bought a tiered cake stand and 2 books.
We then went food shopping this afternoon and had a quick look in the charity shops. Got a brand new beeswax wrap to try from CS for £1.50 so pleased with that. Apparently Tosco had been really busy in the morning with huge queues so going later was a good idea. Mum couldn't believe how much meat had gone up in price.
Need to get a new microwave as the base that the turntable revolves on has gone rusty and won't turn properly. Think a slightly smaller one might be better and leave more worktop space free.
A friend sent some magazines over so will have a quick look through them before passing them on.
No NSD today but done 8K steps which wasn't bad in this weather.
Sleep tight all x

Evening
Congratulations on the birth of your Grandson @apple_muncher
I hope everyone is well. I haven't checked in for a week, I have just been fed up. My house feels like Piccadilly Circus sometimes, and only 3 of us live here. I very nearly booked a weekend in NYC to get away from the house for a while, lucky I didn't as I was planning to go on Friday, and there were very few flights taking off in that storm!! The irony of leaving a house with 3 people in to go to one of the busiest places in the world is not lost on me!!
Anyway, I am on NSD 9/15, I am still eating from the freezer, but it is finally going down now.
I am still on book 2/5, I have closed all the rings on my watch every day in the past week, and I have sold 6 designer bags and a tiffany necklace, so I will end the month having paid a lot off of my CC.
Tomorrow I am going out for a friend's mother's birthday afternoon tea, but I should make it to 15 NSD this month, unless I crack and book to go away next weekend instead! it a possibility.
happy Sunday
