NSD#2
Thanks @Deni_debt-free_dreamer, feeling less achy today.
Very cold here, so we lit the fire mid morning. I've spent the whole day doing 2 tricky sewing jobs, but glad they're out the way now 😃 printed off the pattern for my jumper, so should be able to see the pattern easier now, the stitches were so tiny on my phone!
Waiting for my turn in the bath now, will be taking my book in with me.
Grateful for a lie in, teamwork with hubby, frog sewing jobs completed, a warm house, time to relax & binge watching a programme off the boxUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Hi sorry I am not on here much but I am going throught a bit of a phase. Not badly, but a bit stressed and I feel it is a phase where all decisions are questioned. I am not doing well with money. I am just spending left and right - but I think it is on things that are long overdue. Like shoes and boys. That said - I need tickets to go to own country, it has been too long. Talked to my mum yesterday and and she looked so small. So where I was going to go for a week in May I might just go for 2 weeks over Easter. There are problems, so I will start to sort them out.
Grateful for gut instinct and a teaching job where I potentially can take 10 weeks off a year, and this summer most of it will be in other country.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
Emergency fund: 100/1000 10%
Weight loose 8.6 kg - while having fun. 0/8.6 0%

Ditty, that sounds very much like the right decision, to go earlier to see your mum. Hugs.

Morning Turtles,
Mixed bag over the past few days. It's certainly an adjustment to be going back to work (and yoga before work), I get the 5.06 train- eyewatering. Totally knackered. Knocked me right off the rest of my routine, cleaning and walking in particular. Had a proper PJ day on Saturday, and dodged a Deliv3r00. Phew.
Yesterday my Landlord text me at 8.45am to discuss a rent increase. I have lived here for nearly 4.5 years, and not had a rise in rent, but from next month an extra £70 a month, which is 8.5%. Good job I had that pay rise in January.
My commute and yoga packing and carrying has been really rather cumbersome, and so i treated myself to a new bag that has straps for my yoga mat underneath it. Got 25% off for being a healthcare worker, still very expensive though. Really hope it makes life easier.
I am on NSD number 4.
Grateful for:
- a glass of wine after 30 days of abstinence
- a restful day on Saturday
- some food prep sorted for the week3-month emergency fund (Cash ISA & PBs): £4744/ £6,000
Stocks and shares ISA: £1497
Additional pension contributions £0
Overpayment on mortgage: £0

NSD 2/15Stuck to my meal plan and had some very nice mealsI have almost finished painting my dresser/desk and it's looking lovely. Much more grown up than my current one and I've mostly used items around the house so it's cost £40 for the desk and £10 for drawer pulls.Hope everyone is well, I'll go back and read now.9

Good afternoon folks ⛅
Apologies again for my absence yesterday. At this rate I'll be having to pay ground rent on the chaise-lounge!!!
Yesterday I was grateful for:
1) For staying on track financially even when my habits have gone to sh*te!!!
2) For computer games providing me with downtime
3) For a chance to reflect on what I want
Yesterday = NSD number 3
Yesterday was another miserably rainy day that left me feeling flat. As much as I hate to admit it - the date thing going wrong really got to me - which has made me wonder if I actually really am ready for something serious. The guy seemed all nice to start then stared being passive-aggressive making 'jokes' insinuating I was chatting to other people on the app... and despite my ongoing reassurances he kept on 'joking'. In the end I just lost any excitement I had because of his insecurity and accusations. Deleted dating app and going to take some time-out again. I have said I will go on a date this month - that might end up being me, taking myself out for a nice lunch haha.
Today I think I turned a corner. Drew a line under the past week - that is gone. Done. Time to start fresh and get back on track. Started my day with some small 'wins' - doing the laundry, making my bed, doing the pots and tidying up. Went to the gym, and did a top up shop (eggs, bread, few freebie buys) and was going to go for a walk but am knackered. The gym was really tough going - but I did it. And I tried a new piece of equipment (out my comfort zone); the Cross-Trainer, albeit for just 5 mins haha.
Just reviewed my list of FIVEs I set at the start of the month:
1) Hopefully my habits will get back on track and tonight I WILL get into bed by 22:30 if it kills me!
2) Going to go for a quick walk outside after my coffee/sit down, to top-up my steps and get my 5 minutes outdoor time in
3) Need to get a move on with my book reading - EEEP!
4) Will start planning my day ahead in the evening as back to work this week
5) Ticked 1 off my 5 things outside my comfort zone. Note to self - need lasagne dish to do recipe. Think I will walk to Sainsbury's now (get my steps in) pick up free mince on offer (for lasagne) and get dish whilst there too! Bingo!
Today I am grateful for:
1) Rediscovering some of my mojo!
2) My coffee machine and the heavenly lattes it makes
3) Half a day still to relax and unwind after a few jobs well-done!
Today was a spend day so still on NSD number 3
Have a lovely evening 🌓 x⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐
