Well done on being good with the windfall, your very near future self will thank you when inevitable moving etc costs occur. How decent of that person to share after you helped 😊
2k in emergency fund and a clear credit card is brilliant

That's brilliant news about the windfall, and lovely of the person to recognise your help.
I hope the edginess eases, it probably will once contracts are exchanged, it's always stressful until then."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -
It’s a lot to take in. Even though you really want this, it’s still a change. And a big one. You’re living according to your values so focus on that and it helps with the edginess.3

2k in emergency fund and a clear credit card is brilliantI really am very pleased. I pushed myself but it was worth it. The known costs of moving are in a separate account. The plan is to keep the EF unless a real emergency occurs.

Today, I had a health appointment. I requested a hb1ac prompted by @jwill The health check was BP, weight and looking at risk factors. All good and bloods in a few weeks.
Feeling better from recent illness too
I chased the solicitor for some forms. They promised to send them out tomorrow. I also clarified a few issues and expressed a few concerns.
I heard back from surveyors office.
A friend's daughter who has good attention to detail has agreed to double check my documentation before it all goes off to solicitor.
I pushed myself with savings and very pleased with the outcome. As @PennysIntoPounds said my very near future self will thank me
I'm still hoping to have a few days away once contracts are exchanged. I can see tickets on sale for £20 return instead of £40. Tempted to risk it and get the tickets. I will have to pay for the cottage but mates rates and I could pay from everyday cashflow. Hmmm, will think about it a bit more...
I hope everyone has had a decent start to the week

I did buy the train tickets. They were a half the usual price, although a total waste of money if I don't actually go...fingers crossed it works out...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
