Yesterday a migraine hit. Horrible, but feels like it was building. There is a relief after a migraine that fellow suffered will understand. Also after a day in bed I was pleased to get out for some fresh air.
So it is interesting operating with a very limited budget. It isn't a bad thing necessarily. I had a coffee out but took a little rest of chocolate with me. I probably should do that anyway...cheaper and better for the waistline than opting for a piece of cake!
A new week coming up, surely some movement on the house. I've left it a week so will email for an update on building regs, permissions and other legal matters.
Today, I'm feeling positive about the house and its possibilities. Tomorrow I may be feeling differently. A day at a time.
Hoping everyone is having a good-enough weekend

Glad you are feeling better today, and fingers crossed you get some news about the house this week."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3

@savingholmes we are still working towards the end of August, but it is starting to feel like it might be September.
The week coming will be 8 weeks since it was SSTC. It is the LA search I am waiting for before we can go any further. All searches for this area are a minimum of 2 weeks behind...We are now 2 weeks overdue, so hoping we can get some news this week.
I spoke to the solicitor last week to check what needs to be done has been done otherwise. It seems the LA searches will uncover past PPs and building regs issues. It is how to proceed from there. This solicitor prepares a report before contracts.
I've been a bit spendy and had to dip into savings to get me through. Not best pleased, but there it is...
I have a hygienists appointment this week and that will be pricey, but it is my teeth so it won't be skipped. However, I will replace the savings at the end of this week and then add a little more. The up side of the delay is the chance to add to savings.
My health issue returned, not fully, but a little. Where before it was 9/10 pain wise, I am a 3/4. Entirely my fault. It is a reminder that I can't push it. No meds necessary just a heat patch and occasional rest. I really will be concentrating on building myself back up and improving physical and mental health when I get to the new area. I held out on the area so strongly because I am 2 streets back from the sea. I have promised myself a walk by the sea every day. Just hoping it will be sooner rather than later.
I am off to read diaries to find out how everyone is doing.

Being 2 streets away from the sea sounds heavenly! I'm very envious, well done for holding out for that.
Hope the pain eases ok."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -
I am jealous. I can see the sea from where I am but it is a hilly walk a mile or so away3

That is close and will be a reason for walking, no days are the same with views due to the changing sky and water.
Fingers crossed you get an update soon.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

My pain has gone again @jwil so that is good. I'm glad I disclosed about the sea, as your excitement has ignited my own and brought home now special that will be. I'll need it. It will be a long haul to get my health back and the sea will help greatly. As I've got older I've felt a real pull towards to the sea...
I've had a bug for a few days and it wiped me out. I haven't been able to eat so I need to build back up from that. I long to be ill in my own home so I can have lazy days and take care of myself in my own way, like walking by the sea!
So, the last search is back and draft contracts and various reports are here. I will spend the weekend going though all the information and compiling a list of queries to discuss with my solicitor next week. No doubt I will be posting angsty posts in the next few days! Forgive me please. I am finding this last bit nerve wracking although everyone around me says it will be fine.
I keep thinking of @scrooge2008 'My point is sometimes the leap of faith brings amazing results and if this is the property that sings to your heart then just go for it and everything will fall into place. Faint heart never won fair lady. Get it concluded as soon as possible, move in and start the new exciting chapter in your life. All will be fine xx.'If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
