Glad you've been out and about"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

First things first...
I didn't get the bungalow. I'm not entirely sure why. Outbid I think. Anyway it isn't mine! I feel deflated (again!) However, I wasn't willing to pay over the odds for it, as I didn't LOVE it, but I needed it. Not quite the same thing. However I could have made it work and now don't have that option.
It is difficult to keep going forward but there is no going back, so I haver no choice, onwards I go.
I now have two houses I like very much on paper/online...the reality may be different. One of the houses is bigger than my last house but is the favourite with everyone I know IRL. My favourite has no garden, but roof terrace potential...The whole ground floor is aged proofed with a kitchen, shower room and living space. It was a warehouse so lots of light and high ceilings..
I am booked to stay over a night next week so I can take my time with the viewings. It is possible other possibilities emerge before then that I can view
In other news, I've spent time with a younger relative today so I am worn out!
MSE-wise I am sticking to my savings target. I am being quite spendy, shopping at a local charity shop. I have bought books. I have also spent on coffees out. I feel in need of a nice space to have a treat. I don't regret them. They feel like mental health coffees if there is such a thing...
Hoping everyone is ok.

sorry to hear about the property - but I understand you can be a little relieved at the same time as disappointed,
I love mental health coffees - maybe a name for a new chain - you should trademark it
good luck with your next property viewings - as you say you are becoming an old hand at this. I heard on the news prices are rising slightly so will be giving vendors a bit of confidence to hold their nerve, so lucky you are in a better position as you may need thatI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine3 -
I’ve seen a few property shows with roof terrace they look really interesting3

Boo to not getting the bungalow but sounds like a couple of good potentials are on the horizon. I really hope you can secure the right property soon, it must be so frustrating for you🤞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
