I have no idea how it worked but it did after months of agonySunshine_girl2 said:As MF says heat patches near me are £1.49 for 2Sunshine_girl2 said:I have sore muscles in my lower back and occasionally wear a heat pad. I am exploring walking again. I'm doing much less, on advice form the osteopath and it feels like the wrong thing to be walking less

Are your patches cheaper at a supermarket, online, even £ shop type places. Or a cream / spray / small hot bot etc. Even asking a friend living in a different area to post a bunch of patches to you as they're a lot cheaper.I would be able to pay more at this stage but there are no negotiations to do so. I know it isn't a quick process. I've been chasing homes for years now so I have an understanding. However, this has been going on for several weeks with little contact.
I am going to explore a small hot water bottle now you mention that

I've been looking at some M3rell walking shoes since forever. I went to try some on a few weeks back and they seemed comfortable. But then again they all do in the shop. (I was put off by the price) This time I will test them out indoors walking about with shoe bags on in case they need returning. I have someone who works in a sports shop so they have said they will get me their discount. That reduces the price but they are still expensive. They will be coming next week.
Anyway, my plan is to start walking again. I will start small and build up gradually and see how I go. I will keep the walking slow and steady. If I am going to have an operation, surely it is important to be as fit as I can? When I speak to the consultant I will get advice on walking so I don't do myself any harm.
I think walking will help my mood, sleep, muscle strength and heart. It might even help my condition.
Tomorrow I am meeting a friend. We are going to a historic house where we will have a picnic (if the weather holds)
I hope everyone is enjoying their SundayIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Sounds like a good plan to get walking again with consultant's advice."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

Both my boys have walking merrell Moab trainers and my old boots merrells too. Highly recommended for narrow ankles in my case. Currently on scarpas, expensive but effective. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese
