The type I have on order are the ones with a vibram sole. Supposed to be good for hiking/walking.
The person who can get them at their workplace with discount got £50 off. So, I am very thankful. I hope they suit once I begin wearing them (they were fine in the shop but the test everyday use) I will pick them up later in the week
I've been very MSE as I immediately put the £50 in savings so now I have a little buffer zone of £100 that will stop me dipping into my main savings in an emergency.
I have exercised my upper body with weights today, just one set. I exercised my feet and ankles and did a set of bridges for my back.
I called the EA. No one answered. I left a message to ask for an update on the house as it has been a week since they said they would come back to me!
Getting ready for the NT visit with friend. I'm packing some food. She will pack wine
Hope everyone has had a good start to their week.

Just to add don't expect a fast response where the charity is involved. Added to this they may ask for a further valuation from another party.
Honestly, I'll never will anything to charity.3 -
I've heard a few negative things about charities just lately. I can't believe how greedy they're being. You'd think the EA would want this house off their books as it's not exactly a good advert for them being on the market so long.
Enjoy the NT visit 🙂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -

I had a lovely time at NT. It was like another world, so peaceful and beautiful. I left like an extra on a movie. My friend was very late, so I finished my book on a bench. When she came we had our picnic. I must do that sort of thing more often. A real stress-buster

Your comment helped me to realise all may not be lost. It is very frustrating. Nothing else is promising on the market so I will hold tight.

I agree they do seem greedy and it isn't in anyones interest to have it sitting on their books unsold!
The NT visit was wonderful. I don't have access to a garden and it reminded me how much I miss having a garden. Not that any garden I might have would be on that scale!

It was a reset and on the last day before a few rainy days. No big plans for the BH weekend. Today I went to a lovely park and caught up with a friend. I am exploring visiting a steam room over the next few days and I would like to buy some eyeshadow. Those are my plans if you can call them plans.
Re the house. I called the EA on Thursday. Was told they had left a VM for the vendors and would call back on Friday before the end of the day. No call back. sigh. I've seen another house that is a maybe...lovely area, lovely views but it is really a family house and more house than I need. The other plus is it is opposite a beautiful park with a really nice cafe in it. The area is safe. The garden is too big. I also dislike the idea of maintaining it and cleaning it. But, it is in budget...and I need somewhere to live?
MSE doing well as there is now 200 in the buffer account. This was started last month after I dipped into my savings. I am going to try to get this up to 1000 and use it as an emergency fund
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the BH

Off to catch up diaries
It may not seem too big in person and photos can be very deceptive
Also bigger can sometimes be easier to clean (as daft as it sounds)
Bigger can mean more rooms for hobbies etc
