If you were looking forward to going away for a break could you plan something else? Something cheap but nice2

A mini break would do some good, if you're able to find a last minute deal. Or perhaps try and combine a break with a retreat or something.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2

Sorry to hear the cottage break is no longer happening. Disappointing about your treatment too. Good idea about booking a cheap break away just to dust yourself off and relax if nothing else.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I encountered a national trust property on my holidays, the website they use seems to have reasonable cottage type places. Or if you don’t mind a little rough around the edges the caravan park people we used are cheap2

Thank you @jwil @Skint_yet_Again @savingholmes @MovingForwards @Sun_Addict your support is appreciated
Thank you @WelshmansDaughter I know the NT properties and like them. They get booked up quickly at this time of year but something to think of for the future
It is nice to come on here and see kind posts.
I have been unable to get away, so I started going away each day to give everyone including me some space. It has worked and I feel less of an urge for a holiday, especially now things have changed...
I have been plodding on and I seem to have turned a corner. The health issue may be quicker than I thought when last I posted. There will be still a wait but the obstacle put in the way that would have slowed things down further has been removed.
The biggie is I had an offer accepted a few days ago! It is exactly where I want down to the street! It was out of my budget but I submitted an offer just under 5% less than the asking price...and I was accepted purely due to my position and my ability to move quickly. The property is chain free so if all goes well...I could be in soon.
The additional I have saved in the past year made this purchase possible as I could look at properties at a higher price point. So MSE saves the day again.
I don't want to say too much about the house for fear of losing it, but I am hopeful. I have a survey booked in for 3 weeks time and hoping (that word again) nothing untoward comes up.
Tomorrow I go to visit again (second viewing) with a close friend.
Any tips of what to check are welcomed

That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
