I'm home, well the home I am temporarily living in. I am already in my PJs.
My journey back was 8 hours. I upgraded to first class because of my back issue I wanted to be comfortable and the train was busy. The train was over 30 minutes late so I applied for delay-repay and got half my money back for the ticket and the upgrade. I did the claim online and uploaded a photo of the tickets, not a big deal for most, but a step up tech-wise as I usually do these things on paper. Good to know I have done this already and they have confirmed a refund of £50 plus
Very MSE
Leg and back still bad
But possibly improving as I am experiencing fewer hours in wanting to scream out pain
It is fair to say the trip was a washout creatively but as @savingholmes suggests it was opportunity to 'refill the well'
I have a few days with the house to myself. Nice.
I had an invitation tomorrow to an exciting event but I politely declined. I have a famous younger relative who is performing at a well know venue. However, I do not want to be jostled and it is too noisy and too many hours standing. (Makes me feel old but hey ho, just being honest with myself)
Tomorrow, I will shop for veggies and things I want to eat to enjoy and support my health.
I am swapping to breaking my fast at 12 and stopping eating 6/7 because the days are getting longer.
I will go for a walk when I wake. I am going to start monitoring steps, as I walked with someone else when I was away and even with a 30 minute walk my daily step total was under 10,000 and I was surprised...I don't want to get obsessive about health so I will have a think about that...
Tomorrow, I have a long catch-up call with a friend, other than that nothing is planned.
There is a new thread called Slow Living. I get it. Right now I want to go slow

The bungalow sounds perfect. Don’t be put off by the garden, when we moved into our house, apart from the grass being very high, there were 6 sheds and a large concrete area with drains as the previous owners had been market gardeners and also kept goats. Took a while to break up the concrete but it was done eventually.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Hope things ease a little more over the week.
Are you able to make soups again as the enthusiasm shone when talking about them.
Glad the hints and tips helped see there are options, I've loads more to pass on when the time is right.
Keep taking it easy where possible and try a little meditation.

Thanks @Sun_Addict I won't let the garden put me off.
Thanks @beanielou
Thanks @jwil I'm pleased at doing my refund on my phone and tbh it was easy. I will do that again
Thanks @MovingForwards It is true. I do love soup! I will make some today. I don't feel comfortable cooking in someone else's kitchen but I have the house to myself so looking forward to making some
Thanks @Skint_yet_Again I have two viewings tomorrow
Yesterday, I lolled around and watched NFlix as I rarely have the opportunity to do that. Can't say it was great really...
So a terrible night. Lots of pain and unable to get comfortable. Glad I had the house to myself as I could cry out without disturbing anyone. I used ibrofren gel that did not work. Tiger B helped before, but I ran out. Paracetamol took the edge off but I was up at 2am trying to find some. Today ACTION FOR RELIEF OF PAIN- walked for 30 minutes first thing and did stretches (did neither yesterday and pain worse at night) Added a little weight training using my own body weight.
- ordered a wool mattress topper from J L it might make the sofa more comfortable. Also it will be useful for when I finally move. Maybe that will help from a comfort viewpoint (pricey but worth it if it helps)
- will buy heat pads, paracetamol, and T balm
- boswellia and magnesium will be purchased from the health shop as there is good evidence on these 2 supplements. One for inflammation and the other for muscle relaxing. Boswellia takes time to build so won't work quickly but part of the plan is to avoid being in this situation as much as it is possible
- will do another 30 minute walk after evening meal
Later I will be meeting a friend
Enjoy the BH everyone

Enjoy your time with your friend.
Soup sounds a great option.
Hope your pain improves soon. Hope you manage to boost your step count - but there's evidence to say even 4000 steps make a difference. Currently I'm barely at 2000 steps. Definitely need to improve.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
