  • Hello doingitanyway.  I'm so sorry to hear about the pain you're still experiencing.  It's sounding pretty positive on the house hunting though.  As I've read a few pages in one go I really noticed how you were initially sounding very excited about the bungalow but that lowered with the wish of this house that's come back onto the market.  I'm irritated with the sellers as they know you're a valid buyer and there are so many houses around my area selling and then falling through that it's not just about who offers the most right now.  A house near me has been sold 4 times and is up for sale again now!  The seller has been trying to sell for 2 years and is really frustrated with the whole process.  Her house sale has fallen through by people having a house to sell that also fell through along the way.  You as a buyer eliminate that risk immediately with not having to hope a sale goes through from your side and therefore being a very reliable link in any chain.  Also the sellers of "your new house" must have also lost out on a home they were hoping for too.  So I'm keeping everything crossed that the sellers of the house you want now realise this and see you as the better option that you are, even if you're a few thousand under the higher offer.

I hope your pain becomes manageable again and that you're finding it easier to give up sugar than I currently am.

try and get on the EA's good side, ask them frankly what the seller would accept to take it off the market.  Not committing you to anything but their mood may have changed (as you suggest) now the viewings are out of the way
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

Fingers crossed and good advice from M55M.

When you do get to see the bungalow, which I'd suggest you do even if your offer is accepted on the house, try to combine it with a beach walk or whatever is in the area. Clear your head and mind.

Keep up with movement, eat proper regular meals and find a way to relax.

Sorry to hear you haven't heard back, and glad the mattress topper helped even if it didn't last, hopefully it will help the pain ease a little sooner.

Hope the EA pulls their finger out their.... and you hear something this week.

Public transport has a habit of doing that, however, you now know what works and can quickly undo the damage.

Re pension, depends if the benefits offered match what you need / want. Might be worth keeping as a 'small pot', add bits in with a view to keeping it under £10k; assuming the rules don't change by the time you want to draw on it.

Well done on the yoga. Sorry about the pain. How annoying on the EA and the sellers.

    Thank you  :)

The bungalow is still a goer. It is my second option. I'm currently thinking I should have a second viewing, but can't do that until after April 15th

Thank you  :) Hopefully I can recover quickly.
Re pension. Are you saying if the amount invested stays under 10k I can draw it out at any time?

Sorry to hear that the pain free didn’t last. Hope the yoga helps & hope you hear from the EA soon
