Enjoy the time along and alternative treatment. Acupuncture can make a difference, but make sure you've the rest of the day to relax otherwise it undies everything the treatment achieved.

1) you can always walk away and 2) they won't be in the picture after the sale is completed.
But, given how intransigent the vendors are, it seems doubtful that they'd accept a price reduction if the survey comes back with anything major (I can't remember if you've had a survey done already).beanielou said:That’s great.jwil said:That's a great addition to the house fund this month!savingholmes said:Great news on the interest. Always nice to add to rather than deplete the house savings.I had forgotten how good being able to save a large amount (to me) is. I haven't been able to do so large a sum for some time.

Me again.
Things are moving a bit. So sorry you have such a battle trying to buy a property and being messed about by the EA too.
Hope your pain gets better soon. I know The pain Toolkit has been useful for people I know. If you like mindfulness relaxation I can recommend the website Nothing Much Happens by Kathryn Nicolai. It has a podcast called First This which is added to weekly with short mindfulness sessions. I use this to get back to sleep if I wake up in the night. She also reads bedtime stories where funnily enough nothing much happens!!!!
Well impressed with your fasting. It has so many benefits. I have a rule now about not eating after 8pm. Was initially scared about getting hungry in the night, but it never happens. Our bodies are geared up for not eating when we are asleep at night.
Even though it might not feel it you have made lots of small steps. Keep chipping away.
Off to wind down for bed (trying to go to bed at the same time). Will listen to Daniel Barnett Legal Hour on LBC. I know you are a fan too.
Take care xxx
I will check out the pain toolkit and the story reading.
I feel so much better when I fast, glad you feel the benefits too.
The house buying is mega stressful but the break I had away from it all definitely helped
Thanks for all the encouragementXX

I have taken a few new tech steps forward that I am pleased with. They are small steps and would not be a big deal to most. However after a few years of going back and forward I now have a new account for discretionary spending. Yesterday I set it up online. It was easy to do. It is great being able to see transactions and review the account in real time. Eventually I will take this account onto Apay...one step at a time
The other tech step was using the password manager that my computer has built in. I only do this for everyday unimportant things asking for a password.
I will attempt for the third time to get an appointment with the acupuncturist today.
My pain levels are still high. I spoke to the call centre that allocates texts, then arranges a phonically from a GP. The last time the GP did not call back. I sent a complaint to the surgery. Today, I am going to try to find a steam room nearby. I think steam will help.
MSE I am not being ultra frugal as it is more important for me to stay sane and treats like coffees out help. This bout of ill health has been expensive too. The mattress topper, chemist items, alternative therapies. However, I don't think health is an area I want to be frugal in.
I reflect on becoming debt free, I realise I have remained debt free. I do not use an overdraft. I pay my credit card off in full and I save. The lessons learnt years ago on here, have become part of me.
Have a good day all.

HOUSE
So the jury is back. I did not get the first choice house. It came down to 2 offers. I think I had the highest offer (over asking +) but for whatever reason they decided to go with the other offer. Their house, their rules. I am disappointed as it was my first choice. I have to accept I didn't get it last time, or this time, so it isn't the house for me. I was not looking forward to dealing with them, or possibly having to negotiate if the survey turned something up. I really do feel I gave it my best shot, so I have no regrets, although disappointment lingers...
Before I got the news on my first choice I began negotiations on the second choice. I am not 100% on the bungalow I think because IT IS a bungalow. My young relative just said that is a funny name for a house and I explained they are called that when they don't have stairs. She said, but I like stairs. Then I realised, I think I do too. However, it really is lovely and could be gorgeous. I have factored in my costs and the EA is talking to the vendor before I have a second view or make an offer. If the price I need it to be is impossible, I need not do a second view.
HEALTH
Yesterday I had acupuncture and a massage. Very helpful. I have another booked next week. I am swimming tonight quite late to help my back and also to aid my sleep as I experience most pain at night. I have switched my fasting window so I eat at noon and stop in the evening as I need the energy for swimming. I have a self referral to do for physio and will do that today.
So, a mixed bag. A day when some things were ruled out and others ruled in. All good progress.
I hope everyone is having a good enough dayIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

That's not great about the house, but positive that the second is growing on you. And well done for having started already. Other people will muck you about and you can't stop that, but you can carry on regardless ignoring their BSI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
