Hello @Chrystal I am away in Scotland, back at the weekend. Thanks for thinking of me.

Away in Scotland but have had a flare up of my health issue, so in bed with the laptop on my knees taking some time out. I came back from my travels so fit and healthy. I really need a routine and to be in control of my own food and I won't have that until I am settled. The irony is I know what to do and enjoy doing it. The upshot is I have an inflamed back and some other joints. Making do with heat patches, walking, stretching and painkillers. Blah blah. I'm cutting sugar back to minimal as it is very pro inflammatory. Gone back to TRI...The fightback starts here...

In the midst of all this the property I was outbid on before I left the UK in Oct came back yesterday! Yep!
I have just submitted an offer. Telling you lot as I can't tell anyone in RL as they've been through too much with my highs and lows of house hunting! The offer has been acknowledged and I will know tomorrow. I asked why it was back and apparently the buyer dropped out due to ill health...The house isn't perfect, but I love it. I offered £5k more than last time and I will be doing all I can to get this house.

I will keep you updated

Thanks Redo. The stress and nonsense has already begun. Offer submitted first thing. Waited until the end of the day to chase then told EA out of the office. Blocking email saying OOTO and not monitoring emails. Reception said will ask EA to call tomorrow. If they want more money I wish they would be upfront as I can probably do it. ARRRGH

Thanks MF the pain and inflammation is, well, a pain, but nothing I can't handle. It has made me take stock (again)

Sit tight DIA, no higher offer till they communicate. Holding the silence, hold it back or you will bid against yourself. I know you know how to play this game but so frustrating when you want an answer.  I've always worked on offer, counter offer and something in the middle.

im watching locally to me and our preferred location, things aren't selling anywhere near as fast and the price wars seem to have stopped.  Hope that is the case for you too.

Yes, thank you. I will do that. 

It is the same in my preferred area price wars feel over and even nice properties are sitting on the market for a bit, often being reduced.

I will wait for them to call me now.
