Thanks to the positive vibes, Christmas and NY greetings and general welcoming back comments. It's so nice to have this community of people wishing me well
Thanks @DaisyCheerings for thinking of me and jolting me into coming back on here.
I've been back a few weeks now and I'm adjusting.
The trip away was great. I walked a lot, ate good food, swam in the sea and spent precious time with close and distant people. I lost a stone in weight without effort. I came back renewed. It was a good decision to go.
No suitable properties came up in my absence, so I missed out on nothing house-wise
MSE wise my spending was far less than I would have spent here and I've boosted my savings
Since I've been back I have moved out of the dreaded storage and now have new storage in the hoped-for area. It is half the price and much less stress, as the last unit was constantly raising the prices and were difficult to deal with. I felt stressed with their constant demands and emails. Now I am more settled. Plus, the removals were done at cost by a friend of a friend, so my removals are paid for.
House-wise, I am staying with a close relative on the sofa, not ideal, for them or me. In fact I feel like I've reached a new rock bottom. Anyway, I am trying to go away as much as possible. This week I am away in the countryside in a friend's cottage. Bliss. I have 2 weeks in Scotland next week, then a house sit for a month. I'm hoping something will come up in that timescale.
I viewed 2 properties last week. Neither suitable for different reasons. At least there are more properties coming on now...
I'm doing ok, better than ok, considering the circumstances.
My new plan is to find the positive in wherever I lay my head. So, where I am now there is a beautiful outdoor lido. I so I am booking an early morning swim for the morning.
I will catch up on other peoples diaries over the next few days.
It feels good to be back and ready for finding a homeIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
