Evening all
No NSD here as had a leaving lunch at work so spent £16. Also registered for a discount card for emergency/social care workers (blue light card if anyone else is eligible) as someone used it to get 20% off our meal, thought it was well worth it. Shopping also coming this evening. Overall a good day with good company.
OH got me a late anniversary present of a bunch of vegan face creams/bath products. Already made good use of them this evening and feel lush!7 -
He just woke up one day in April with a frozen shoulder @ditty1234, he could hardly move it at all, but there was no way he could leave it, even a jog of his arm would cause a scream like you would not believe. So he just kept on, a little every day, and some days were better than others, and he was soooooo grumpy, but it is all just frustration, but slowly fingertip walking his hand up the door a centimetre further every day, and doing weird chicken wing flapping things, but it was 2 or 3 minutes at a time, 4 or 5 different exercises, and the strength came back. But there was no telling him, and there was nothing I could do to help, except make hot water bottles and fetch paracetamol, and retrieve the tennis balls he was using as a deep tissue massage tool (up against a wall - looked properly bizarre).Could he manage to get changed himself and into the pool? Even just being in the water might help and give him something to work toward. Or W0wcher do some spa-days - think hot tubs/ whirlpools and a massage afternoon. Maybe not for now, but something to think about in future.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Hugs to those having a tricky time.
NSD#7 & claimed t0pcashback & bank account reward money, so will be an extra £40 heading my way ☺️ payday tomorrow, wonder if the backdated pay increase will be added?!
Very windy when I went to work, but two hours later on my walk back from a trip, the wind had disappeared, had picked up again slightly in the afternoon, but didn't mind, as I was re-living walking up Mount Vesuvius on my honeymoon & visiting Pompeii & Herculaneum, describing it to some pupils. Didn't feel as tired today, so did the ironing when I got home & have just finished a sewing job. Had a lovely surprise of a late sproutmas present in the post - a large (2kg) tin of qu4l1ty str33t, haven't seen tins this size since the '80's!
Grateful for reminiscing, unexpected presents, watching a Pied Flycatcher through the windowUse it up, wear it out

Good evening 🌔
Slow start to the day - but eventually got going and to the gym 💪🏻 and then went for a nice long walk in the sunshine. Was cold but didn't need hat and gloves at least. Having a nice restful evening, watched the next film in the Narnia series - don't know how I missed these first time around - they're pretty good. Making full use of my Disney+ subscription, now I got rid of Netflix and Prime to save 💰 Am pretty amazed that I haven't spent more... but honestly not been tempted.
Today I am grateful for:
1) The crisp cold weather and sunshine 🌞
2) My local gym, and the staff who keep it clean and running so well
3) Time to myself
Today = NSD number 10
£5.19 cleared on my shopping app so actually made money today, topping my grocery/spends fund up a bit 👌🏻 The app is called Shopmium. Think it is on Android and Apple. You have to link either PayPal or your Bank to get paid. Basically you look at the offers, buy from the supermarket listed and keep your receipt. Photo it and upload (not as tricky as it sounds) and they reimburse you a few days later. If you want to use my 'refer a friend' code 5Z4685 feel free (you get a free tube of pringles haha and I get £3) but you don't need to use it. You can still get other offers. Plus if you refer any friends you get £3 etc. At the moment they have free Plenish (at Waitrose) (plant milk) on... costs £2.50 so you have to shell that out upfront - but get it back. You have to be a bit careful as it stipulates which supermarket you need to buy it from but they cover Asda, Tesco, Sains, Waitrose so don't get caught out. The app is a bit like 'clicksnap' on Apple which is linked to Quidco. If yo can be bothered faffing with them you can get a few freebies! Please - won't be offended if you don't use my code - just make use of the app and get some free treats in!!! 😋
PS. Esmerelda - I'm not a Gemini ♊ haha though we all have in in our charts somewhere... I'll have to go check where it is in mine haha.

Evening
Had a long and stressful day, just finishing off work for one of my PT jobs. DD2 and i had to be up and out by 8.15am to drive to the big city for blood tests. I don't give up my blood easily and after a half hour delay while they tried to find us on the computer (we don't exist) the consultant appeared with the relevant forms, DD2 went first and was out in no time; the phlebotomist stifled a sigh as she prodded my arm trying to find a vein - thankfully she eventually did ! We treated ourselves to a drive through coffee afterwards as a reward (i needed oneThen spent an afternoon WfH at FT job before going out into the cold for PT job. Called at Morries son on way home and treated myself to flowers and fave toffees.
Gratitudes - lovely NHS staff; my veins for cooperating; it's nearly friday

Its Friday and the gkids aren't here tonight yeah.
Tired finding it stressful trying to finish all my work and clear my office out. Went for a walk when I got home to chill out. Refused a walk with a friend to the pub as so knackered. Can't wait for a long soak in the bath.
Bag of clothes to charity shop, came home with 2 books so lost NSD for £1 eek.
Feeling a mess at the moment so a pamper night needed.
Grateful for
2 lovely chats with friends bumped into on my wanders
Leftover Basa chowder for tea, no cooking yeah.

NSD 8 I think today. Sun was out although it was very crisp, but the flat was lovely and warm so I de-moulded the window frames and opened the windows pretty much all day. I MUST be better and letting the fresh air in to circulate, I tend to have to clean a bit of mould from the window frames every so often in winter but it's avoidable!
Was my last day at my full time job today, bit weird as I spent the day at home then walked to the empty office this afternoon to leave my stuff there. Don't feel sad as such about leaving as I didn't enjoy the job but I did like my manager.
Have had early dinner as off swimming with my friend in a bit. Can't say I really fancy it but my back will thank me for it.8
